Two Years Later....

So I'm getting ready for a date with this boy Bryan who's been trying to get a date with me for months and I finally said yes, I've mostly been dating guys here and there but they were never nothing special.

"Ready for your little date pretty girl" Brandon says as he enters my room, luckily Brandon and I are still friends but ever since what happened with Devin and stuff we never tried to date again.

"Walk into my room like that again and you won't ever get a date" I warn

"Oooh sass" He smiles snapping his fingers

"Oh my gosh come on before I kick your ass"

During the drive to the fair where I'm suppose to meet Bryan Summer texts me.

Summer~: I still don't like him, I don't know why you agreed to this shit
Me~: Last time I checked this is my life bitch
Summer~: I got you after your crusty date
Me~: Mhmm

I roll my eyes and lock my phone shoving it into pocket and looking to see we finally arrived to the fair.

"Have fun but not to much fun" Brandon says whilst I get out of the car

"Oh trust me I won't" I roll my eyes, he pulls off leaving me in the parking lot

I think Bryan said to meet him at the ticket booth so I'll just go there I suppose, while my short walk I past a couple of people I know saying hi along the way. I see Bryan waiting seeming impatiently making me roll my eyes and walk up to him fighting the urge to just walk away now.

"Damn, it makes sense why you took so long you look good" He says

"Thank you?" I say unsure if that was a compliment or not

I'm starting to regret this date, I buy my own wrist band and tickets while he talks to a group of loud obnoxious guys. I sigh tapping on his shoulder and he turns around quickly.

"Oh right.. uh I'll meet you at the ferris wheel in like five" He says winking at me and walking off with the guys.

Seriously? What the fuck? I walk over to the ferris wheel sitting down at a bench beside it and wait patiently.

Five minutes past and no sign of Bryan I mentally curse at myself and go to look for him, I go behind a booth and see him kissing some other girl.. just my luck.

"Wow.. fuckboy should have seen that coming" I say crossing my arms over my chest

"I told you to wait-"

"Wait my ass enjoy kissing the hoe" I snap, I turn on my heels and I hear the girl gasp at me calling her a hoe just as I walk away.

I find an empty bench to sit on and stare at my phone hesitantly on who I should call, if I call Summer she'll say I told you so and if I call Brandon he'll act like a complete dumb ass. I hear footsteps come closer to me then a pair of white and red j's come into my focus.

"Kalani?" The person standing in front of me say, I look up guessing it might be someone I know but it's actually someone I didn't expect.

"Devin?" I say in aghast

"Damn I thought that was you.. uh why are you sitting here alone?" He asks

"Um.. horrible date and now I'm sitting here like an idiot.."

"Why? what happened?" He sits beside me looking at me in worry.. damn he got more attractive.

"Well first he leaves me for his crusty ass friends then I go to look for him and find him kissing some hoe"

"Then why didn't you just leave?"

"It's dark as shit you expect me to walk home alone?"

"Fine.. I'll walk you well if you want"

"Are you sure?"

"I have nothing better to do" He shrugs standing up and holding out his hand for me to take

"To soon" I say moving it away and standing up on my own

"Fine I was just trying to be polite" He shrugs

"Mhmm" I hum

The first part of our walk is pretty quiet but it's understandable, I can't help but stare at him whenever he's not paying attention taking in what I've missed for the past two years.. damn.

"I owe you an apology" He says looking in my direction and I look away

"Devin that was two years ago"

"Yeah but I hurt you and just allowed you to leave instead of trying to talk to you"

"I never understood why you did that"

"I know I was just dumb and jealous y'know"

"Facts"

"I am sorry though for everything.."

"Yeah so am I"

"Maybe we can start over as friends? keep the past in the past?"

"Deal" I say looking up and smiling at him, the streets start to become very familiar and I notice we're getting closer to my house.. but ugh I want to spend more time with him.

"How about we all meet up tomorrow? No bullshit" He suggests

"Yeah.. that would be cool"

We finally make it my house and I see that Summer's car and Brandon's car are parked in the driveway.

"So.."

"Do you still have my number?" He asks, my cheeks flush red from embarrassment because I went through everything that reminded me of him and deleted it out of my phone.. as well as him number.

"Um.. no"

"Oh.. well give me your phone" He says I obey handing him my phone and he types away his number into my phone handing it back to me.

"So tomorrow?"

"Yup see you tomorrow Lani" He smiles hugging me and then walking away, I smile brightly like an idiot hurrying into my house thanking that my parents aren't home.

"So how was the date" Summer says

"I don't even want to talk about it" I scoff walking up to my room and she follows

When I open my door I see Brandon sitting on my bed playing a game on my PlayStation Four.

"Really?"

"Yup" He says popping the 'p' at the end "We ordered pizza I want to know about your crusty ass date"

"Fine! Damn"

I already know their going to laugh so why not just get it over with right
