Chapter Twenty Three

Summer's POV
I've been hanging out a lot with Kevin and I'm really starting to like him! He asked me out this morning so I'm getting ready to for this date! I'm so excited. Just when I'm done curling my hair I hear a knock on the door and its Kevin. I open it and kiss him on the cheek.
" hey sum you ready?" He asks
" yeah let me just grab my phone" I say walking back into the room
I walk back out and we leave. We start walking this pizza place since Kevin said there pizza is good.
This is honestly the best date I've ever been on! We've been telling jokes and laughing this whole time.... Until I hear this familiar voice behind us.
"Kevin? Summer? What are you guys doing" i hear dev say behind me
We both give each other the " oh shit " look and I turn around
" um hey guys... What's up?" I say nervously
" what are you guys doing? Are you guys on a date!" Lani says suspiciously
"NO.. It's just that before you guys got here it was really crowded and we had to share a table that's all" Kevin says laughing nervously
" oh ok well... Are you guys coming to the pool with us later? We have interrogate Daniel Emiliana about there date" Lani says laughing
" yeah of course see y"all later" I say
They grab there pizza and walk out the restaurant
" kev... Can I ask you something?" I say
" yeah what's up?" He says
" why did you kiss lani?" I ask
" to be honest sum.. I started growing feelings for you and I just didn't know how to handle them.. So I tried to put them all on lani" he says truthfully
" oh.. Do you still like her?" I ask with hurt in my voice
" no, plus I learned my lesson she's with dev now" he says laughing
" soo.. Does this mean we may have a chance?" I ask hopefully
" yeah.. I can see it happening.. We just got to make sure you on good terms with everyone first, I don't want anymore drama" he says
