"Oh come on, Lily. You HAVE to go to your Senior prom" Alice exclaims, as we sit on the couch of her living room. Alice smirks to me, when Jasper appears in the doorway. "Alice, I don't do the dancing thing. And besides, I don't have a date" I say, crossing my arms over my chest."Well, I'm sure Edward would be willing to go with you" She says, hope clear in her honey colored eyes. I roll mine, looking away from her, and let out a sigh. "I'm not going to ask him to take me to some high school dance. I don't even want to go" I say, looking back to her.
"You could always go stag" Jasper says, walking over and sitting on the arm behind Alice. He smiles down at me and I roll my eyes to him again. "Keep rolling your eyes and they will get stuck in the back of your head" He says, chuckling softly.
Alice giggles at his small joke, and it takes everything in me not to roll my eyes again. My mom used to tell me the same thing when I was younger, and I still do it to this day. "Thanks for the heads up Jasper" I say, uncrossing my legs, and standing up.
"That's what I'm here for" He says, chuckling again. I cross my arms over my chest, rolling my eyes again, before heading towards the door, and sliding on my left boot. "Going somewhere?" I hear from behind me, and I turn to see Edward smiling down at me.
"Yeah, home" I say, smiling up to him. He nods once, smiling down at me. "Want me to drive you?" He offers, and I shake my head. "No, I'll be okay. Thanks though" I say, pulling on my other boot, before standing up, and sliding my hands in my jacket pockets.
"You coming back over tomorrow?" He asks, and I simply shrug my shoulders. "I might. I'm going to try and get ahold of Jake again. Hopefully I'll get something from him" I say, hope clear in my voice. I've been trying to get ahold of Jake ever since his letter, and haven't had any luck. But I'm determined not to give up.
This time Edwards the one who rolls his eyes. He doesn't say anything when his eyes land back on mine, and for a split second I think he's going to kiss me. That is until Alice and Jasper appear in the doorway, close to us.
"Awwh, look at the cute couple" Alice coo's and I smile, sticking my tongue out at her. "Very funny Alice" I say, before turning back to look up at Edward. He continues to stare at them, before looking back to me, wrapping his arms around my waist.
"They're gone" He says, nuzzling his nose against mine. I place my hands in my back pockets, smiling at the gentle contact, before opening my eyes, to look up into his. He smiles once more, before leaning down, and presses his lips against mine.
I press my body closer to his as we continue to kiss one another, our lips moving in sync with one another. I hear Edward groan against my lips, causing me to smile against his. This time he breaks away, staring down into my eyes. "What are you doing to me?" He whispers, mainly to himself and my heart begins to flutter.
Its not what I'm doing to you Edward, its what your doing to me...

That night I couldn't sleep for the life of me. Kept dreaming of blood. Everyone covered in blood. My family. Friends. The town. Everyone. And who's the killer... Me. Could be the pre-turning into a vampire jitters, or it could be my mind doubting myself. Who knows. All I know, is it gave me some horrible rings under my eyes.
I awake the next morning, rubbing my eyes. Thankfully it was Saturday, meaning no school. I had ended up finishing my final exams yesterday, so all that left was prom tomorrow, and graduation next month. So much to do in so little time.
I decided to go to prom, thanks to Jasper's help, and I couldn't be any more nervous. I'm not going to ask Edward, but take Jasper's advice and go stag. I'm sure I can meet up with some friends and just hang out till the thing ends. Or just call Edward and sneak out till the end, either way, making Alice happy.
