The Cullens....

Looking into my mirror, I suddenly regret agreeing to meet his family. What should I wear? Should I bring something for them? I mean how would I even introduce myself? Edward and I aren't dating. I shake my head and stare down at the outfit I have on. A lilac colored long sleeve shirt, dark skinny jeans, and my black toms. I feel like I should dress up more but this is just a meeting of his parents. But first impressions are everything... I shake my head again and decide to wear the outfit I have on. I grab my house keys and my cell phone off my desk and make my way downstairs.

I walk into the kitchen and I'm surprised to see a smile on Jacks face, and Edward still in one piece. They are sitting opposite one another, apparently in a headed conversation. Edward looks up to me when I approach them. "Ready?" I ask, with a smile playing on my lips. He smiles at me, then stands up rather quickly. He nods to me then looks back to Jack "It was a pleasure meeting you" Edward says, politely. Jack nods to him "You too Edward" he says.

He looks to me "Text me when you get there and once you are heading home" Jack says to me. I smile to him and nod "Will do. Don't wait up" I say, smiling to him. Jack grabs a beer out of the fridge and pops the cap "I'll see you when you get home Lil" he nods to me. I roll my eyes and smile to him as we make our way to the front door. I take one last glance back to Jack before following Edward out the door.

Driving there feels like it's taking forever... Could be because I'm super nervous or could be because I've never actually met someone's parents before. I continue playing with my hands, looking out the window until I feel an icy cold hand on mine. It's Edwards. He has one hand rested on mine while the other is taking control of the wheel. I glance from his hand, to his face as a smile plays on his lips. "Nervous?" He asks. I half laugh and look ahead "Slightly" I say, swallowing the lump in my throat.

I glance to him and his smile grows wider "Amused?" I ask, holding back my grin. I glance back out the window, noticing a mile marker reading "La Push 7 miles", then I turn my attention back to Edward as he continues. "Don't be nervous. My family is...." he pauses and I continue to watch him as he starts to smile "Different from other families" he says, glancing to me then looking back to the road, smiling like crazy. I feel like I'm missing something, because he finds this so amusing. I look back to the road then, smile "As long as they don't plan on killing me, I'm okay". He chuckles a deep chuckle, then clears his throat. I look to him as he turns The Fray up louder to drown out our voices. I place my head on the head rest and try to calm my nerves from eating me from the inside out.

We pull up to his house and my jaw drops immediately. This house is huge. All the walls are lined with glass. It's at least three stories high. I unbuckle my seat belt as soon as Edward opens my car door. I smile up at him before exiting his car. I turn my attention back to the house as he closes the door, staring at me. "Now who's the amused one" he says with a smirk. I slightly shove his arm playfully, then look back to the house. He takes my hand in his and intertwines our fingers. I look down to our hands and relax immediately. I glance up to him and he smiles down at me "let's go" he says at almost a whisper. I nod and follow him into the house. Here goes nothing.

The house is beautifully decorated and there's pictures on every wall. Edward hasn't let go of my hand as we make our way up the stairs. We reach the second floor and walk down a narrow hallway before we enter what appears to be an extremely large kitchen. In the middle of the kitchen is an island that's covered in all types of foods. And around that sits seven people. Some of which I recognize immediately. Alice waves to me as she approaches me, giving me a welcoming hug. I smile and hug her back "Hey Lily" she says, as she pulls away. I smile to her "Hey Alice". I glance around and smile to everyone else "Jasper" I say nodding in his direction. He smiles and nods to me "Lily".
