Jack pulls his cruiser into the school parking lot and kills the engine. He looks to me and I look back at him. "Well" He starts. I grin at him, waiting for him to continue "Hope you have a great day and all" he pauses, rubbing the back of his neck "I'll be here at 3 to pick you up" He says. I nod, then look as a few cars start entering the parking lot. I look back to Jack, and smile to him "Thanks for the ride" I say, getting a grin from him. "I'll see you at three?" I say, opening the door. "Bye Jack" I say, shutting the door.

I look around as a few by passers give me second glances. I clear my throat and pull my jacket closer to me as I make my way up the stairs and into the school.

I walk into the door labeled "Office" and close it behind me. "Just one minute" The lady behind the desk says to me. She's talking to a boy with light golden brown colored hair. He's wearing a tight black shirt that shows off his muscles. He's also wearing dark jeans and black shoes. He's talking to her so quietly I almost mistaken it to be a whisper. He glances over his shoulder at me, and he stares at me. I bite my bottom lip, and look away from his gaze. Were his eyes golden brown too? I shake my head, and look back to him, as he turns his attention back to the lady "Are you sure?" He asks. She nods her head "I'm afraid so, Mr. Cullen" he nods his head, and turns around to face me. I step aside, as he approaches me. His shoulder barely bumps into mine, as he leaves the office door, and it closes more quickly than the last time.

I look out the glass in the window to him, and watch at he makes his way to a group of four people. They are just as beautiful as he is. He says something to them, that makes them all turn and look to the door. They all stare at me, and I turn my back to them, and make my way up to the desk. "I'm new" I say, smiling to the lady. She smiles back, and takes my packet from my hands. "Ah, yes. Your Lily Collins. The cops daughter" She says. I smile to her, and nod my head. She hands me another packet "This contains your locker number, locker combination, schedule, school map, and extra classes and clubs you can take. There's a piece of paper I need your father to fill out, and it needs to me returned back to me tomorrow morning. Third block is about to begin. And I'll see you tomorrow morning, Mrs. Collins" She says. I smile to her and leave the office.

It took me abit to find Biology classroom, but I finally made it. I knock on the door "Come in" says a voice behind the door. I take a steady breath and walk in, shutting the door behind me. I look around at all the faces staring up at me. I clear my throat and head to the teacher's desk. I hand him a slip of paper "I'm Lily.. Lily Collins" I say. He smiles up at me, taking the piece of paper. "Your the new girl I was warned about this morning" He says. He looks down the paper, signing his name. He hands me the paper back, along with a book labeled "Biology 101". "Warned?" I asked, kind of annoyed. He chuckles to himself "I'm only joking with you, Mrs. Collins. Your assigned seat is beside" He points his hand behind me, and I follow it. "Mr. Cullen" he said. And thats when it happened. When our eyes met again. Those soft golden brown eyes. I bite my lip nervously, then make my way over to sit beside him.

The rest of Biology flew by. We went over how to disect frogs and were told that we were going to be doing that next week. We had to get our parents to sign a slip of paper that he was handing out. I took mine and handed one to Mr. Cullen. He takes it, without another glance to me. Well that was rude. I roll my eyes and let out a sigh, putting the paper in my book, along with the packet I recieved in the office. The bell rang, letting us know that Fourth block was left of the school day. I grabbed my book, and started to stand up. "I'm Edward" said a voice, a melodic voice. I look over to him. He stands quickly, almost to quickly. I look up to him as he makes his way past me. I watch as he leaves the room. I roll my eyes, and follow him out the door, along with the rest of the class.

Fourth block was a free period for me. So I desided to spend that free time in the library. I was in the middle of reading the first chapter of Biology when someone sat across from me. A vanilla scent filled the air. I look up to see a petite looking girl sitting across from me. She had shoulder length dark brown hair, and grey eyes. She smiles an award winning smile and she has perfect white teeth. "I'm Alice. Its nice to meet you" She says, holding out her hand. I look to her hand, and shake hers, smiling. "Nice to meet you Alice, I'm-" I begin but she cuts me off "I know who you are" She smiles. I kind of look confused, but then remember its a small town, small school, who wouldnt know who I am. I smile to her. "We're gonna be great friends" She says. I smile and look from my book, back to her "I hope so" I say. She nods, then gets up. "I'll see you tomorrow?" She asks. "Sure" I say, and I watch as she bounces out of the library. That was weird.

I place my headphones in my ears, and continue reading. By the time I reached chapter 4 in my Biology book, it was time to go home. I collected my things and hurried out of the school. I walked outside and looked up as the gray clouds covered the sky. Great, more rain. I see Jack's cruiser and open the door when I approach it. "Hey Lil" He greets me. "Hey Jack" I say. I look to him and he shows a smile. "Ready?" He asks. "For?" I ask, slightly confused. "Your surprise" He says, a little to happily. Oh right, a surprise "Uhh, yeah" I say, looking out the windshield. Noticing that we havent left the lot yet, I turn to face him. He's smiling down at his phone. Is he.. "Jack are you... texting?" I ask, with a huge grin on my face. He looks to me, and shuts off his phone "Uhh yeah, new thing" He says, slightly blushing, which causes me to giggle. I look out the window as he starts up the car. The whole ride back home was of him talking about how amazing he thought it was that you could use things called emoji's to show your emotions and that it was cool that your text messages show that they've been read by the other person.

"Well, what do you think about it, Lil?" Jack asks. We were standing beside a maroon '85 chevy silverado. The paint was slightly chipping away, and there was a slight dent in the back driver side close to the back wheel. I examine the truck, then stop and look to him "You bought me a truck?" I say, smiling. He smiles back, happy that I liked it. "Yeah, I figured you'd want something of your own. That way you wouldnt be stuck at the house all the time" He says. I bite my lip, and look to him "Thanks Jack" I say, and I look to him, still smiling. "Now there's some bounderies" He starts. Of course there are. You talked to my mother.I roll my eyes and look to him. "Curfew is 9pm. You can go to school and home, unless you ask if you can go somewhere when you make friends. And if there's a problem, you call me first" He says, looking at me. I look to the truck then back to him, my smile returning "Deal. Thanks Jack" I say. He holds up the keys "Your Welcome Lil. Now how about a drive?" He says. I nod, and we both get in the truck. He actually bought me a truck. Hmm, this might not be a bad two years after all.
