Espérer [TwilightFanFic] **COMPLETED**

First Things First..

Edward, Jake, Seth, and myself all make our way through the woods near Edward's house. Edward told me about the time when Bella went for her first hunt, how she took down a mountain lion and sustained from human blood. He said he didn't want to take the chance of that happening again (referring to the human incident) so we would be practicing my hunting a little more closer to home. My home. Our home.

Edward says the deer roam freely through here, so it was a good place for me to get some practice in before we actually adventure afar and take some some mountain lions and bears. I was so excited I could feel the adrenaline pumping through my veins. Edward and I walked ahead of Jake and Seth, as we make our way deeper into the woods. I kept feeling eyes on me as we walked, and I inched myself closer to Edward.

He took a hold of my hand, intertwining our fingers. I looked over to him, as a small smile plays on his lips. I knew he was enjoying this way to much. Tormenting Jake as much as possible. I mean he did end up getting Bella and now he got me too. I look ahead as a small noise is heard.. At first I didn't think I heard it, but then I hear it again..

This sucks.. Of course he got Bella, not he gets her too.. Will I ever have anyone to myself?

Jake's voice. I stop in my tracks, everyone stopping with me. I turn and look to Jake, before looking to Edward. "What?" Edward asks, already knowing the answer. Seth looks completely confused, as he looks from Edward, to myself. I continue staring at Jake, shaking my head at him. "Are you serious right now?" I ask, anger flaring throughout my body.

"What??" Jake asks, looking from Edward to Seth, then back to me. He looks confused as his shoulders slump. I shake my head again, rolling my eyes at him. "What you just said.." I say, looking slightly annoyed at him. "I didn't say anything" Jake says, anger taking over his features. I shake my head, going to call him out when Seth speaks up. "Yeah, he seriously didn't say anything" He says, staring at me now.

Was I going crazy? I know what I heard..

"No, you're not going crazy.. You are like me.. You can read minds.." Edward says, smiling brightly at me. I smile to him, before looking back to Jake, smirking a bit. "Of course.." Jake says, shaking his head, and walking around us. Seth is quick to follow after him, as I turn to Edward. Edward smiles to me, before leaning down and planting a soft kiss to my lips. "Il mio amore" He says, before kissing me again.

"Come on guys!" Seth yells to us, as we break apart. Edward takes my hand in his once more, interlocking our fingers, before we both turn and make our way towards the boys.

Il mio amore... My love.

We finally make it to the edge of a watering hole, aka a waterfall. A small deer is perched on the edge, taking a drink from the water. Edward and myself hide in the woods, as Jake and Seth slowly leave the tree line, sitting on the edge of the water. The deer looks to them quickly, before turning and going back to the drink it was taking before.

"What can you hear?" Edward asks, looking to me. I close my eyes, listening carefully to all the noises around me. I hear the steady flow of the water. The way the leaves whistle as the slow breeze blows. The way the deer slurps the water. And then.. The steady beat of the deer's heart. The way the blood flows through its veins. I open my eyes, glancing to Edward. He nods at me, before we both look back to the deer.
