"Recent reports suggest that our forces sent in to retrieve anymore survivors have perished."

-Science Lord Laiful

-Seventeenth of Maximum Messis

White goo solidified itself against the walls, melting into a saliva-like substance as Kaitlyn's flashlight beamed onto it.

"Where does this lead to?" Daniel asked, shining the light from his rifle onto the brown stone walls.

"This leads to the Central Atrium, where the PC and the remaining TUOH soldiers should be hiding... or dead." Daniel shuddered.

"I don't want to see anymore death, Kaitlyn." he replied, holding his rifle tightly to him.

"You joined the army," she replied back. "It's too late to change your mind now."

     "I wish I didn't," Daniel said.

Kaitlyn stopped moving and blushed a little. She turned around and smacked him on the cheek.

"What was that for?!" Daniel yelled in pain. Kaitlyn blushed a little more, hiding her face with her rifle.

"I wouldn't be happy being the only one alive in our unit!" she yelled, sniffling. "You could've been dead! I would be so..." Kaitlyn trailed off.

"So... what?" Daniel asked. Kaitlyn turned around and started moving.

"So nothing," she said, not even glancing back. "Get your ass in gear so we can get to the Central Atrium."

Daniel nodded, observing the white goo on the walls.

"Question," Daniel said, flashing the white goo on the walls. "The creatures aren't in these tunnels, so what is this white goo?"

"I remember my Dad telling me that it is a compound the miners used to set up tunnels without needed support, as it would keep the environment looking... well environment-ty. They would use glow sticks to mine, which would impede efficiency, but it's the effort you have to take when you are trying to preserve an ecosystem like this, unlike the SO."

"Follow-up question," Daniel said, blushing a little. "You were really worried when I wished I never signed up for the military. Why is that?"

Kaitlyn blushed, checking the ammo in her magazine.

"Because I could've died..." Kaitlyn stammered. Daniel nodded, feeling adequately satisfied with the answer, then he frowned, realizing it wasn't the answer he wanted.

"So what do you mean. I⎯"

The walls shook wildly, crumbs falling from the ceiling.

"What was that?" Daniel asked, nervously looking around erratically. Kaitlyn paused.

"We should hurry now," Kaitlyn said, running into the darkness.

Daniel shivered, wildly twisting and jerking his body around before realizing Kaitlyn was ahead. He slung his rifle on his shoulder and ran down into the darkness.

"Kaitlyn!" Daniel yelled. He turned a corner before running into her, smashing her into the ladder in front of them. She slid forward, then fell to her knees, clutching her face in pain.

"Ow!" she yelled. "Watch where you are going!"

"I'm sorry!" Daniel yelled, extending his arms to help Kaitlyn up. She declined, pushing his arms away.

"I don't need your charity," she growled, getting up on her own. Daniel stood back against the wall and folded his arms, putting his gun against the wall itself.

"You know, what is your problem?!" Daniel yelled, eyeing Kaitlyn's clenched fist. "You freaking acted all nice and stuff but then now you are being an asshole just like Laiful!"

Kaitlyn turned, a tear forming in her eye. She put her gun down, but then immediately wiped her brow and turned, picking up her rifle and stood like a real soldier. Her eyes screamed aggravation while her hands shook the gun as if she was just electrocuted.

"CADET YOUNG!" Kaitlyn yelled, causing Daniel to wince. "YOU SHALL NOT FORGET THAT I AM STILL YOUR COMMANDING OFFICER WHILE I STILL HOLD THIS RANK, AND DO NOT FORGET IT!"

"Y-y-yes, ma'am," Daniel stuttered, snapping into attention.

She's shaking her gun like she's fighting some feelings... he thought to himself.

"NOW GET YOUR FUCKING ASS IN GEAR BEFORE I PUT A CAP IN IT!! DO I MAKE MYSELF CLEAR?!"

Daniel shook nervously and shouldered his rifle, turning off the flashlight on his rifle and grabbing onto the rungs of the ladder, hoisting himself up towards a hatch on the ceiling.

     It was getting really late.

Above the duo, monstrous explosions blasted the landscape, destroying families' lives and the lands around them.

Up above Shiloh, the Guild of Relativity's First Fleet was floating with its own agenda. They primed up they MAPCs, or Magnetically-Accelerated Payload Cannons. They aimed towards large cities and settlements across the planet, shooting large nuclear tungsten slugs in an attempt to quell the invasion. Large mushroom clouds erupted from the surface, burning the unfortunates' shadows to the dusty ground.

     It was pure chaos.
