"As narrated by the chest Daniel is holding at this moment. I swear it speaks, reader."

The start of the universe was a momentous occasion. The Homotaurus were a magnificently-intelligent race, spanning over fifteen Universal timelines, which are the lengths of a single Universe. Their race were omnipresent, spanning multiple dimensions, which granted them the unique ability to create and augment time and space. They used their masterful craft to create various planets individually, taking billions upon billions of Homotaurus to create one singular galaxy.
They were referred to as the "Infinite Race".
Their birthplace was Shiloh... in this Universal timeline. In the past timelines, there were different places of origin, but how the species transitioned to the next timeline was a little spotty. Many Homotaurus clerics suspect that a single group of their species live above a dimension they currently inhabit, therefore when the Universe ceases to exist and the newer one becomes apparent, they are "injected" into the newer Universe, moving down a dimension that can be convenient for altering space and time. After billions of years, the Homotaurus population is booming, and they start manipulating the particles of that universe to suit the timeline their "Eternal God" had chosen. Generally speaking, the Eternal God is actually the eldest of the species, usually lasting three to four Universal timelines. He and the survivors never explain how they truly start the Universe, as it is a sacred rite that only few can enjoy.
In Sol, the system that comprises of the SO, they created two planets that sustained life. Mars was created first, and then Earth was crafted afterwards. It was an... experiment to see which strand of the human race would survive longer: the multi-talented Earthlings or the quick-advancing Martians.
Millions of years before humanity stretched the cosmos, the Martians revolted. The created devices that could be used to control the Homotaurus and artifacts that helped broadcast the mind control effects farther. When they activated the devices, a side effect included the Homotaurus being bound to the third dimension and their ability to manipulate space and time was nullified.
The Martians used the objects to wage war... and lost dearly. The might of the Homotaurus military, not to mention the sheer number of them, was too much for the Martians.
Their punishment was grand. The Homotaurus stripped away the Martian magnetic field by ceasing the spinning of the core, dooming the Martians to a slow death by solar wind. The water evaporated to space, the air became poisoned, and millions of Martians died each and every day. The Martians never stopped defying the Homotaurus. Their final defiant act was putting these devices on a ship and scattering them random on planets in the cosmos.
With the devices on random planets, shut off, and the revolt over, the Homotaurus decided that they aren't cut out with intervening in their creations' existences.
The Homotaurus returned to their birthplace of Shiloh for hibernation. They created large ships that would help keep their civilization alive during their hibernation called Liveships. While the Clerics and the warriors were in stasis, the daemon fiends were working diligently to keep everyone alive. Funny how they act mindless when in battle.
