Living the High Life

Chapter 23

Over the next week I worked at Jodie's nursery helping her out. Which was a lot of fun. It was nice to be working again. It felt a bit strange being there. But it was fun anyway.

Monday 6th Feb.

Me, Lilly and Charlotte were getting ready to go to Exeter airport for our plane to Dublin to meet the boys. It was Lilly's first flight and I was nervous about how it would go. Charlotte was there because I didn't want to do it on my own.

"Ready hun?" I said we were at Charlotte's flat

"Yeah I'm coming." She said coming out of her bed room

"Oh Lilly. Come here." I said taking Lilly out of her push chair and putting her up in the sling, it was easier to have her in the sling while we were in the airport.

"Charlotte in my bag are some rice cakes please give Lilly one." I said when I had finally got Lilly in the sling on my back

"There you go sweetie." Charlotte said handing Lilly a rice cake

"Say ta Lilly." I said

"Ta." Lilly said giggling

I smiled at Charlotte and we headed for the airport.

Lilly had fallen asleep by the time we had got to the airport, so charlotte sorted the bags out and I carried a sleeping Lilly on to the plane.

"Oh you're a grump today Lilly-Anna." I said

"Sleepy baby." Charlotte said

"Yeah." I said putting Lilly on my knee.

We landed in Dublin and the boys were waiting for us.

"Babe." Connor said throwing his arms around me

"Hello Babe." I said giving Connor a kiss.

"And there my little girl." Connor said taking Lilly out of the push chair and picking her up

"How was she on the plane?" Con asked

"A grump." I said

"Aww. Where you a grump for mummy." Connor said and Lilly giggled. The boys let out a laugh

"Don't encourage her you three." I said pointing at James, Brad and Tristan

Connor smiled then said "Come on let's get to the hotel."

We got to the hotel put our bags in our room then went for a walk around Dublin to kill some time before the radio interview that afternoon.

"Rhi can I push?" James asked

"Yeah if you want." I said and he took the push chair with Lilly in off me. Lilly was fast asleep which was a miracle I just wish she had slept through the flight. I was dreading the flight to LA in a couple of weeks. Thankfully the 5sos boys were coming with me so was Charlotte so I wouldn't be on my own which made me feel better. The 5sos boys were going out to LA to record their next album.

It was really funny to watch James push Lilly he got so many funny looks me and Charlotte being the only female there and I was holding Connor's hand and charlotte was chatting away to Brad about the new 5sos album so he looked rather funny. But it was cute in the end Connor went up behind James tickled him and they walked side by side arms around each other. It took me a good 5 minutes to stop laughing. I took a picture of them both and put it on Twitter and Instagram with the caption 'did I miss something when marrying him? They run off together and now they have my daughter. Think I'm doing something wrong here.' I tagged them both in the picture their phones went off and they stopped saw what it was then turned to me and said "sorry Rhianne your loss." And carried on walking. I looked at charlotte and we both started laughing.

It was a lovely afternoon in Dublin while the boys were off doing the interview me, Charlotte and Lilly went and did some shopping.

"This is cute Rhi." Charlotte said holding up a sky blue dress. Lilly was growing so fast that she had nearly grown out of all her clothes.

"That's nice I like that." I smiled

Me and Charlotte enjoyed a spot of shopping before meeting up with the boys for dinner.

"Good day babe?" Connor said

"Yeah it was lovely." I said smiling

"Good to here. You been good for mummy." Connor said taking Lilly out of her push chair.

"Ta." She said

We all laughed

We got went to a lovely little Irish pub for dinner.

"Table for 6 and a little one." Connor said he had Lilly in his arms.

"Yes sir right this way." The guy said

"Will this do?" the waiter said

"No." James said we all looked at him

"What's up James?" I said

"That guy there is clearly drunk. Lilly doesn't need to be near a guy like that." James said

"Very well sir." The waiter said looking taken aback by what James had said

The waiter took us to another table that was in a quiet part of the pub.

He got us a high chair for Lilly and she sat quite happily in the high chair playing with some crayon, which we had to take off her because she started eating them. She screamed until I gave her some banana.

She enjoyed munching her banana until her food came and watching her chase peas around the tray on the high chair was so funny.

"Want some help Lilly?" I said and she glared at me, giving me evils

"I'll take that as a no?" I said and she carried on chasing the peas around the tray trying to pick them up

"she's so cute when she's try to concentrate." Brad said smiling

"Yeah she is." I said

"She looks so much like you both." Trist said

"You think?" Me and Connor said

"Yeah. She has Connors nose and your eyes Rhi." Brad said

"Aww thanks brad." I said he was sat next to me and I rested my head on his shoulder.

It was a lovely meal but by 7;30 Lilly was getting pretty fed up and tired so we headed back to the hotel. The boys and charlotte went down to the bar and me and Lilly went up to bed.

I didn't hear Connor come in to the room that night, but it must have been late because I was asleep.
