Living the High Life

Chapter 13

Girls holiday just what I need.

We didn't do much the first day because we were all so tired. But over the next couple of days we enjoyed lying on the beach, swimming in the sea and reading. We did some exploring of Auckland as well which was lovely.

The holiday was just what I need to keep me going for the rest of the year. It has been a mad rush the last couple of months so I was glad to have the time to stop and relax. Jodie and Charlotte were having a lovely time and it was nice to see them happy and relaxed. Charlotte was like me and had not stopped for about 6 months. Jodie was working at the nursery and needed the time off.

On top of lounging around we did some shopping and went for some lovely hill top walks.

Where was my holiday go, quicker than it had began it was over. It had been an amazing 2 weeks.

"Ready guys?" I said as we were about to leave the hotel.

"Yeah I think so." They both said

"Cool. Come on then let's go." I said smiling

It was ridiculously late when we landed back at it Heathrow airport. We were staying in London the night then James, Connor and Michael were coming to pick us up in the morning.

"Jet lag is horrible." Charlotte said getting into bed

"Yep. It's going to take me a good week and get back to normal." Jodie said

"Hello bed." I said and I face planted my bed the girls laughed

"Tired Rhi?" Jodie said

"Just a bit." I said smiling

They laughed again. We all got changed into our Pjs and got into bed

"Thanks for a lovely holiday." I said looking up at the ceiling

"Yeah. Thanks guys." Jodie said

"It's been awesome and so much fun. It was just what I needed." Charlotte said

"Night guys." I said rolling onto my side and closing my eye.

What felt like minutes later I was being woken up by the sound of knocking on our bedroom door. Jodie and Charlotte were still asleep, the pair of them could sleep through anything.

I sat up and rubbed my eyes. Then got out of bed to see what the banging was about.

I opened the bedroom door and there stood, James, Connor and Michael.

"Guys what time is it?" I said yawning

"Half 12." Connor said

"Okay fair enough. Will let you off." I said standing to one side to let the 3 of them in.

"They still asleep." James said

"Yeah." I said

"Hang on." I said

"Jodie Charlotte look who's here." I said they didn't say anything for a couple of minutes then Jodie said "tell them to piss off and came back in about 3 hours."

I laughed

"Jod it's half 12" I said

"Is it?" Charlotte said opening her eyes

"Yeah." I said

"Hey babe." Michael said leaning down to give Charlotte a kiss

"Hey." She said

"Hey beautiful." Connor said wrapping his arms around my waist and kissing me

"Hey. Good trip?" I asked

"Yeah not to bad." Connor said

"Good good." I said smiling

The boys left to let us get dressed and sorted.

Half an hour later we went down stairs to the reception of the hotel.

"Home?" James said

"Yes please." I said

We all piled into James's car and headed for home. Going past Costa on the way to pick up coffees.

Brad and Tristan were there waiting for us when we got home. It was so good to see them.

"Boys." I shouted jumping on them.

"How was your holiday?" Brad asked

"Yeah it was good." I said smiling

"Good to hear." Brad said

"I'm glad to be home mind." I said helping James pull my case from the car.

"Rhi see you later." Charlotte said when her case was out of the car

"Okay Hun." I said smiling

"See you later Rhi. I'll pop round tomorrow." Jodie said

"Okay sweet." I said Jodie and Charlotte left and Michael went with Charlotte.

It was so good to be home and in my own house it felt amazing. All 4 boys and been here while we had been away and they had tidied up and done the shopping.

"Thanks boys." I said pulling my case through the door.

"No problem." They said

We didn't have anything planned until the jingle bell ball in December which was a lovely feeling not to have anything planned.

"James bring your washing down. I'm putting the washing machine on. Con you as well." I shouted up their stairs

"Okay babe." Con said

"Yes mum." James said

"Don't mum me." I said

"Sorry." James said as he appeared at the top of the stairs.

"Darks in the machine and whites in the basket." I said

"Thanks Rhi." James said

"Thanks babe." Con said kissing me.

"It's okay." I said smiling

When I had put the washing machine on I hovered the living room then hovered the kitchen.

"Con. Please do the dish washer." I said

"Yes babe." Con said walking into a the kitchen

"What can I do Rhi?" James said

"Wash up?" I said

"Okay." He said

"Thanks boys." I said smiling

We tidy the house then sat down to watched some old doctor who episodes.
