Living the High Life

Chapter 28

It was nearly the end of June, tour started on the 30th June. Lilly had just turned 1. It had been a lovely day. Everyone had come round for a bit of a party and Lilly had enjoyed herself. In the evening we had gone over to see mum and gone over to Oscars grave. Lilly had sat in front of his grave for about an hour chatting away, as though she was having a conversation with Oscar it was so cute.

As it got closer to the start of tour I got back into a fitness routine with James, tour always took its toll on me so keeping fit was going to give me the strength to do the whole tour.

"That felt amazing." I said me and James had just got back for a 2 hour gym session.

"Yeah. But blood hell am I going to ache tomorrow." James said

"Yeah same." I said talking into the kitchen.

"Wheres Connor and Lilly?" James said following behind me

I showed him the note that was on the side. 'In bed enjoying cuddles.'

Me and James looked at each other and smiled.

Me and James went upstairs to find lying on the bed fast asleep Connor with his arms around Lilly. Both of them sparked out.

I smiled at James and closed the door. We both got showered and dressed and were just sitting down when Connor came down stairs.

"Lilly still asleep?" I said

"Yeah but I put her in her cot." Connor said sitting down on the sofa next me. He lifted my leg and spun them round so that I was lying across him.

"Have fun at the gym?" Con asked

"Yeah it was lovely." I said smiling at James

"Good to hear." Con said

"Im going to sort my stuff out." James said getting up and heading upstairs

"Okay James." I said smiling

Me and Connor watch reruns of Orange is the new black and were just finishing episode 3 of season 2 when James came down stairs

"Someone woke up." He said carrying Lilly who was cuddled up into his chest

"Hello baby girl." Connor said she held her arms out to him

Connor sat her on my legs and we turned over and watched CBeebies.

Brad and Tristan came round that evening to talk about set list for the tour.

"Right madam bed time." James said

"You taking her up?" I said

"If that's okay?" He said

"Yeah it's fine." I said smiling
He picked Lilly up. We all gave her a kiss. He then went into the kitchen to warm her milk up while he got her ready for bed.

"He's going to be an awesome dad one day." I said smiling

The other boys hung their heads.

"What?" I said looking at them

"James..... Can't have kids." Brad said

"Oh." I said

"He had an operation when he was younger. Nothing to do with his....yeah well something went wrong and well he can't ever have kids." Brad said

"Aww poor James." I said

"Yeah he was about 5 when he had the op. So he's known all his life that we will never be able to have kids." Con said

"Aww James." I said

"That's why having Lilly is great for him and your both great for letting him help out." Brad said

"We'd both be a reck if it wasn't for James." Connor said

"Yeah. He's great with Lilly. He gets up with her sometimes. You guys take her out so that me and Con can have sometime together. Your all amazing." I said smiling

James came down 10 minutes later to get Lilly's bottle. I had done some bottles because all the boys liked feeding Lilly and they couldn't because it's not formula milk. So having bottles in the fridge with milk in was a way of letting all the boys including Connor feed Lilly.

We were sat talking about the tour when James came down.

"Where's her dummy?" He asked

"Here James." I said holding it up

"Thanks." And he ran back upstairs. I could hear Lilly crying but the crying stopped when James went back up.

I just smiled

Half an hour later he came back down. It was now gone half 7

"She's asleep." He said sitting down

"Thanks James." I said smiling

"What did you sing her tonight?" Connor asked

"I found a girl. She likes that one." James said smiling

"Yeah she does." I said

"Yeah Rhi was tiding up yesterday and put some music on Lilly was in her walker and the song came on and she was dancing it was adorable." Connor said

"Aww." The boys said

Thursday 29th June. 5:30 in the evening.

The tour bus had arrived to pick us up to head to Glasgow which was our first stop.

"Present." Alex said

"What?" I said I looked at the boys and they looked just as confused as I did.

We went up the stairs of the tour bus Lilly was asleep in the sling on my back.

"Oh my days." I said reaching the top of the stairs

It had all been baby proofed. No sharp corners the stairs had a stair gate at the top. There was no bed at the end of the bus but there was enough bunks for us all with a Lilly sized bunk below me with a bed guard on the side to stop Lilly falling out while she slept. Everything that Lilly could hurt her self on had been moved out of reach the tv had been mounted on the wall so it couldn't be pulled over, the Xbox and PS3 had been moved up. She had her own seat that had straps to stop her falling out.

"Oh Alex this I amazing." I said

"Yeah well baby on tour we had to do something." He said

"It's lovely." I said smiling

"That's not the best bit." He said

"What?" I said

He went over to the bench seat and pulled it up and inside were a load of toys for Lilly. He then went and over to table and there was a built in seat for Lilly to seat and eat. Along with that she had her own bowel and spoon.

"Thanks a lot Alex." I said smiling and giving him a hug

"No problem." He said grinning.

I took Lilly out of the sling and put her in bed. Once me and the boys had put everything anyway on the bus we sat and played call of duty.

We were on the road for about 2 hours before we stopped and got something to eat. Me and Connor went into the services while we left the other boys in charge of Lilly who was still fast asleep.

We got food and headed back to the tour bus the boys were watching Harry Potter when we got back.

"Food boys." I said putting a the bag of food on the table. I had only got sandwiches none of us really fancied McDonald's and I had picked a ham sandwich up for Lilly as well if she did wake up and wanted food.
