Rayne's POV
I grabbed my gym bag from my locker and went to the girl's lockeroom. I went into the stall, and changed in a royal blue t-shirt and grey shorts then I put my hair in a ponytail. I left the stall and saw Lexi waiting for me. She was my only girlfriend still in school since Rydel gradutated, Lexi and I hung out a lot while the Lynches were on tour. She's in Ryland's grade, and I've gotta say they hit it off these past 5 months.
"What happened to your cheek?" she asked. I glance over at Alice, who had a royal blue shirt on too, it was uniform everybody wore them with grey shorts, she had it cut to show as much as she could and her shorts were llike underware.
"Fell. Now let's go, I hear we're doing volleyball today." I was on the volleyball team, and since I was a senior this year I got voted to be team captin. Alice joined volleyball too even though she's horrilbe at it.
"So, how are you and Rocky?" she asked in a low teaseing voice.
"Friends, as always." I said.
"Oh, so it's not akward?"
"Why would it be?" we walked over to the bleachers and sat down, Rocky and Ross must still be in the lockeroom.
"Well, Ryland told me that you two almost kissed." she squealed.
"I thought he didn't see." I said to myself.
"He walked in on you? He didn't mention that. So what was it like? How did it happen?" she asked sounding like a fangirl.
"I don't know how to explain it. It was like, the whole world disappeared and it was just us." I said.
"Awww, he wouldv'e been your first kiss." she said.
"Yeah, yeah, yeah, don't rub it in that a 15 year old had her first kiss before a 17 year old." I said.
"I wasn't."
"You were thinking it."
"So, are you going to the dance Friday?" she asked me as more people started coming out of the lockerooms.
"I don't know."
"Well, if you do. You should go with Rocky, I'll be very upset if you two don't go together."
"Did Ryland and the others put you up to this?" I asked.
"No, but they don't have to. You two clearly have feeling for each other, it's obvious he's head over heels in love with you. He'd do anything for you and you know it. And you told me yourself you like him."
I sighed, "Yeah, but I don't want to ruin our friendship. What if we broke up, or worse."
"You two were born to be together. Even after he moved away you two found each other."
"Who found each other?" I heard a new voice, Rocky. He heart jumped to my thoart. He was sitting on the bleachers behind us with Ross by his side.
"Lexi hear was saying how she ran into Ryland yesterday at the park." I said, Lexi's cheeks flushed red.
Rocky smirked, "Aww, little Lexi has a crush on my little brother."
Lexi turned a even darker shade of red on I laughed.
"Wait? What?" Ross asked sitting up.
"Not you Ross, I meant Ryland." Rocky said.
The coaches came out, we had two. Mr. Haynes, and Mrs. B.
"Okay class, we're doing elemination volleyball today, there will be six teams of six," yes, my gym class was that big. "The rules are that each team will play each other, and the two undeafeated teams will play against each other. The winning team gets to pick what sport we do next." Mrs. B finished.
