Soon after Riker left, I grabbed my weapons bag and went downstairs. I had a punching bag in the corner, a board with throwing knives. I opened the bags and began to organize the room. I had different kinds of mellee weapons mounted on the walls. Looked good. By the time i was done with that it was 4. I decided to go get a shower. Ten minutes later I was done. I found the piece of paper with Rydels number on it. I decided to call her.

"Hey Rydel. I was wondering if you wanted to hang out sometime?" I said.

"Sure! Do you want to come over now? We're not really doing anything."

"Sure."

"Okay see you in a few."

I put my hair in a ponytail and grabbed my phone. I headed over. I knocked on the door and Rocky answered.

"Hi, Rydel asked me to come over." I said, it was awkward. He looked better though.

"Yeah, she said about that. We were practicing. Come on in."

"Thanks."

I followed him downstairs to the basement. Everybody said hello and Riker gave me that 'the hell' look.

" Ratliff I don't think you've met Mary before."

"Hello Mary Im Ellington Ratliff." I shook his hand.

"Mary Johnston."

"We were just messing around. Do you by any chance sing?" Rydel asked.

"Yeah, im not really good though."

"C'mon at least try. Please." Rydel begged.

"Sure. Pick a song. Hopefully I know it."

Rocky bad his gutsiest and started strumming. One of my favorite songs. Radioactive by Imagine Dragons.

Ell got the meme and began the drum part, everybody else went to their instruments and began to play. I knew I had to sing.

I took a deep breath and began

I'm waking up to ash and dust

I wipe my brow and I sweat my rust

I'm breathing in the chemicals

I'm breaking in, shaping up, then checking out on the prison bus

This is it, the apocalypse

Whoa

I'm waking up, I feel it in my bones

Enough to make my systems blow

Welcome to the new age, to the new age

Welcome to the new age, to the new age

Whoa, oh, oh, oh, oh, whoa, oh, oh, oh, I'm radioactive, radioactive

Whoa, oh, oh, oh, oh, whoa, oh, oh, oh, I'm radioactive, radioactive

I raise my flags, don my clothes

It's a revolution, I suppose

We'll paint it red to fit right in

Whoa

I'm breaking in, shaping up, then checking out on the prison bus

This is it, the apocalypse

Whoa

I'm waking up, I feel it in my bones

Enough to make my systems blow

Welcome to the new age, to the new age
