Chapter 15

Rayne's POV

I took Rocky's hand and we went into the City Hall, it was beautiful. The theme colors were light blue, purple and silver. There were streamers along the ceiling and walls, and a chandiler in the middle of the ceiling that gave off a golden glow. The stage was in the front with the red velvet curtains drawn shut, there were speakers on each end that were playing music. Already a lot of kids and parents were there, I saw Alice with Benny. She was wearing a tight, tight black dress that just covered her but and showed a lot of cleavage. It was scary.

I looked behind me and saw Ross, I followed his line of sight. I saw Jamie, the girl he was going to come with, with Troy. God, I felt bad for Ross. Troy was the captain of the basketball team and was Benny's right hand man. Alice caught sight of me, she narrowed her eyes and I smirked. Through the crowd I saw a girl standing by the back wall by herself. She had on a beautiful yellow dress.

"Hey, I'll be right back." I said to Rocky.

"Okay. I'll be backstage." I nodded and went over to the girl. I realized who it was, Laura.

"Hey, Laura." I said leaning on the wall beside her.

"Hey, Rayne. I see your hear with Rocky. Are you two finally together?"

"No, were still just friends. Who are you hear with?" I asked her. I looked over at Ross who was still looking at Jamie's direction.

"No one." she sighed.

"You know, Ross came alone too." I said, trying to keep the smirk off my face.

"Really?" she asked hopeful.

"Yeah, c'mon."

She followed me as I went backstage to where the others were, I went over to Ross.

"Hey, Ross." I said. "Guess who else is here?"

"Everybody?"

I stepped out of the way and Laura walked over to him, they started talking and he already looked happier. They left and went to dance, I found Rocky.

"Hey." I said, I took his hand and set my head on his shoulder.

"Hey." there was a pause before he spoke again, "Do you want to dance?" he asked.

"Yeah." he pulled me onto the dance floor. It was a slow song, he wrapped his arms around my waist and I wrapped mine around his neck.

About an hour later I was having so much fun, and the best part was that Alice was leaving me alone. R5 went backstage to set up, I went over to Lexi and Laura and Ryland soon joined us.

"Let us welcome R5!" the host yelled though the mic, I never caught his name.

The curtain opened to reveal Riker, Rydel, Ell, Rocky, and Ross.

"Hey we're R5 and this is All about the girl." Riker said.

After a few more songs Rocky spoke, "This is one of our new songs it's call Fallin' For You."

They instrumental started then Rocky began to sing:

You like mismatched socks with polka dots
