Peridot sat on the couch that was sat on the edge of Stevens room, using the old computer Steven had pulled from the barn for her to look up things she didn't quite understand.

It used this old thing called "Wind O's X E" whatever that was.

She was browsing a list of things Humans did to pass the time or just did with people they felt close too. The list was composed of words like "Intercourse, Holding Hands, Going out to eat-" what is eating... She'll ask Steven later. The next on the list was 'Kissing' it caught Peridots interests, searching the term into the search box.

Peridot read close to the screen "a sign of love? Hm, I must read more into this" Peridot got off the couch unplugging the computer.

A few days went by Peridot had looked at a few articles not exactly understanding what the big deal 'Kissing' was, she need to experience it first hand. "Hey, Pearl!" She called up to the tall gem who was standing on a ladder, working on the drill.

Pearl looked down meeting peridots gaze "Yes peridot?"

"I've been doing some research on this thing called... "Kissing" I was wondering if you would be able to... Help me with this human activity?"

A small blush made its way to Pearls cheeks, She was speechless, she's never exactly kissed anyone before. "Um, what?"

"The information box told me it was something you do with someone you find attractive, and I admit you are a gem I find aesthetically pleasing"

Pearl got down from the latter she had been standing on to reach the drill. The blush on her cheeks spreading at the compliment "I don't know If I'd call myself attractive, but thank you, I guess. Though, I've never really participated in the activity myself"

Pearl knelt down in front of the younger gem, placing a slender finger under her chin "so... Would you like me too..."

Peridot Nodded allowing Pearl to close the space between them. The alabaster gem hummed lightly into the kiss, her eyes closed as her imaginary stomach felt like it was doing flips. It wasn't an unpleasant feeling, quite the opposite to put it simply.

The smaller gem didn't know how to react following in Pearls actions, the smaller gem lightly pulling her closer by the waist. Peridot is the one to pull away a feeling in her stomach craving the need for more.

Pearl sat down fully, her legs now crossed, and face still flushed an electric blue. "That was... Something..." She stated plainly

Peridot just stood in awe, staring into Pearl's gaze.

"Um... You okay there, Peridot?"

The small gem shook head lightly to clear it "y-yah I just- didn't think I'd like it as much as I did" she responded, looking down to the grassy ground below them.

Pearl let out a small laugh "same here"

Since the kiss experiment Peridot and Pearl had become closer than they expected, on breaks they'd go up to the loft of the barn and watch random shows that came on. A slim arm resting on Peridot's side as she was curled up in Pearls lap.
