I stood up and leaned on the wall. Carol walked down and came over to me. She helped me stand and walk outside. I fixed my gun on my back and took a step on my own. I slowly took another step and Maggie walked over. "You can't be out here." "If I stare at the wall any longer I think I'll go insane. How are you?" "It's getting better." I nodded and gave her a quick hug.

"You're strong Maggie. You'll get through this." She smiled and I saw a truck near the trees. I tackled her to the ground and a shot went over us. "Get the guns." I rolled off her and grabbed my gun. I started shooting at the Governor's men and nailed the one in the tower right in the head. Something hit my shoulder making me fall back. A bullet hit the ground next to me. I got behind a file cabinet and pulled out the drawer to rest my gun on it. I started shooting at the driver in the truck. It stopped and a guy got out and ran off. We all waited to see what would happen and walkers started flowing out the back. "Daddy!" I looked out in my scope and saw Hershel in the middle of it all. Rick was firing his gun causing some of the walkers to go straight for Hershel. I unhooked the gate and ran out. Maggie sat near the gate shooting looking for Hershel. I pulled out my knife and threw my gun on my back.

I slammed my knife into a walker next to Hershel. I sat near him and grabbed my gun. I reloaded and started shooting at the walkers. I turned and shot a walker behind Daryl. I went back to shooting until it clicked. I looked back again and saw both of them. Glenn came down with the truck and helped Hershel inside. I stood on the bumper and Glenn drove back up to the prison with me on the back shooting. Badass if I do say so myself. Rick and Daryl were looking at the walkers in the field not noticing the ones behind them. I quickly grabbed my gun and shot the three walkers behind them. Daryl looked up at me and gave me a nod. I ignored him and got down off the truck. I hit the ground and collapsed.

I kicked open the door watching the darkness for any movement. I nodded and moved in. I flipped out a mirror and looked around the corner. It was shot out of my hand and I moved two men around back. I checked quickly and went around the corner. We made it out the other side and came to the courtyard. Bullets flew, blood was spilt and we were victorious at removing the threat.

I heard Rick talking about what to do outside my cell. "Rick.. He's removing the threat to protect his men." "We aren't a threat!" "I did this all the time before. When one man dies you feel as though the other side is a threat no matter what. He's a threat, we're a threat, the walkers are a threat." "She's right."

"No one cares what you think, Merle." "I hate to say it but I agree with them." Rick stomped off thinking we were going against him but in reality we're putting it in perspective. I stood up and slowly made it out of the cell. I held my side and Carl unlocked the door. Merle sat at a table with Dacey. The door opened and I was the first one with my gun out. "Serge?" I took a step closer and watched Andrews walk in with Greene.

"How'd you know we were here?" "We were at Woodbury. We didn't know it was you." "What happened to the coast?" They took a step forward and I pulled back the hammer. They stopped with their hands up. "We're going now. We needed to wait until we got supplies." I kept the gun up until a felt a hand go across my shoulder. I put it back in the holster and sat on the table.

"Is that Mary's?" "Does it matter?" They sat down and explained their situation. I was too pissed off to really care. They kept glancing over at me while they talked to Merle about something. I looked over at Daryl who was chewing on his thumb. "So what happened to you?" "She got thrown in the pit with Jax and his buddy." "Shit Serge. I'm surprised you made it out alive." I rolled my eyes and looked at the ground. "Don't think I really did.." I glanced up at Daryl and he looked more pissed off than the last time I looked over. I could hear everyone else talking in the cell block about us. "The survival area is secure. I talked to an old buddy of mine who's living down there. They've never had an accident."

"Yet. There's no way to be safe in this world." They looked over at me almost concerned. They shook Merle's hand and Carol walked in with the baby's things. "We'll take good care of her." I followed them outside and they stood next to their truck. I hugged Andrews and didn't really want to let go. "I love you boys, you know that right?" "Yeah we know Serge. I love you too." "Take care of her or I'll kill you." "Don't lose yourself Serge. It took you along time to be on your own." I nodded and gave them a slight smile. If only I knew how to keep myself on track.

They both smiled and got in the truck. Merle walked out and put his arm on my waist. We watched them leave and closed the gate. I was walking back in when Merle stopped. I walked back down the stairs and turned him to face me. "You look lost Dixon." "A Dixon man is never lost."

"Its ok to not be ok." "Don't give advice you don't follow sweetheart." He threw my arm over his shoulder helping me back inside. I sat on the bed and ended up laying down from the pain. I didn't want to see anyone or even talk. I save people and they either die or leave in the end. I put my hands over my eyes and sighed. I heard someone stop in front of my cell and I barely moved my hand to see Daryl. I went to sit up but he stopped me. "You need to rest. Hershel keeps nagging at us to keep you in bed." "Lucky me." I tried to smile but it just didn't work. Just seeing him this close killed me. I felt so alone, so lost and scared. It was like he was the only thing that could save me. "Daryl?" I sighed when I heard Rick and laid back. "Mind going on a run?" "I guess.." I watched him leave with Rick silently cussing under my breath.

*Daryl*

I threw my crossbow over my shoulder and got off the motorcycle. Slowly I moved toward the store watching for walkers. I checked around me and went under the half broken glass. Don't know why Rick thinks I'm his errand boy. I started throwing shit into the bag cussing under my breath. I looked up and saw a group of walkers headed towards me. I zipped the bag and crouched down next to the shelf. Their groans never really bothered me until recently. I just picture them pulling someone apart. I shook my head getting rid of the image. I made a run for the door and went under the glass. Some of it broke off making them look over at me. More walkers were covering the bike. I pulled back the string with an arrow and shot it at a walker. Nothing was making it easier to get out of here. I was surrounded but I wasn't going down without a fight. I hit the ground and knew it was over.
