BBQ PART 2

I had just finished talking to De'andre. he seemed really cool and I dont know what about it, but when I just started talking to him and looking at him... I just felt a connection. I know what my dad did was wrong and stuff but I have NO memory of him, and I guess that's what De'andre did for me.  I dont even know him but I have so much love for him. Its weird, but that's how I feel...

We were outside dancing when Aunt Renae, called everyone inside to come eat. When I walked in, the table was looking amazing! Fried chicken, jerk chicken, white rice, rice and peas, baked macaroni,collard greens, buttermilk buscuits, lasagna, spicy shrimp, beef patties and mashed potatoes...

Mmmm good. I licked my lips as we all formed into a circle, grabbing and holding eachother's hands getting ready to say grace. I looked around the table, admiring each and everyone's face's that were around me.....except Kendra.... stupid hoe.

We bowed dow as Aunt Renae spoke up and began to say grace.

Heavenly Father,
We come to thee again thanking thee for this day and the many blessings thou hast bestowed upon us. We thank you for this food and ask that you bless it to the use of our bodies and forgive us for when we have failed thee. In Jesus' name,I wanna say thank you for allowing my beautiful sister Cali to be here joining us, along with De'andre. I want to say thank you for letting us live everyday and blessing us with this food, Amen.

"Amen" we all said as he everyone dropped their hands, and grabbed a plate forming a line around the table.

I grabbed two plates, making Marlon and I's plate. Marlon wasnt here yet, he had work but by the time he came here, half the food would be gone.

I put Marlon's plate in the microwave as I went and sat beside my mother and began eating.

* 1 HOUR LATER*

DING DONG

I heard the door bell go off and I knew It had to be Marlon. I got up and rushed over to the door, when I saw him a smiled escaped from my lips. I quickly went over to him and gave him a nice, tight hug.

"You smell nice babe" I said as I kissed his neck.

"You look nice babe" He said mocking me while leaning over and kissing my cheek.

"Come'on" I said grabbing Marlon's hand and bringing him towards the dining room where everyone was eating. Marlon said his hello's and I sat him down while I ran into the kitchen warming up his food.

"Thanks babe" He said as I placed his food  onto his table mat.

I sat beside him as I watched him eating, I took out my phone when I realized I had a facebook message.

What the hell?

I clicked it, and it redirected me to a youtube page. Dance began playing and some girl began dancing on the stage.

I heard a gasp from behind me but I just brushed it off and continued watching the video. She kind of looked familar even though I couldnt see her face. The video ended and I was still confused as why I was sent this..... weird.

Marlon was done eating, so we got up to go get some ice cream, I was making an ice cream cone when I heard Renae call everyone outside.

I finished our ice cream cones and passed him his cone. We walked outside, joining everybody.

This is it, she's going to make her announcement now. Im so excited!

Kendra P.O.V

I couldnt believe this ass hole sent the video to MONICA! I picked up my phone as I began messaging him .

WHY AND HOW DID YOU DO THAT? MY GOSH ARE U TRYNA RUIN MY LIFE?

I dropped my phone on the table, noticing I was the only person left in the dining room. I sighed as I got up and looked where everyone else went.

I noticed that everyone was outside on the deck, so I quickly but silently walked outside.

I heard my mom's voice as I leaned against the wall.

"I want to say thank you for all of you joining us today, I have gotten a lot of compliment's today about my dress and having an apparent glow but, I just wanted to announce to everyone.. Sean and I are expecting".

MY MOUTH DROPPED.

UM WHAT DOES SHE MEAN THEY'RE EXPECTING? I AM THE BABY IN THE FAMILY. HOW DARE SHE?

She was smiling as everyone began comforting her and telling her congrats.

I walked past her as I said "Fuck you mom".

I heard gasps as I walked out from the backyard.

When I exited the backyard I began walking down our street.

"LIL GIRL YOU BETTER GET YA ASS OVER HERE!" I heard aunt Cali say as her heel's began clicking against the concrete. I ignored her as I kept walking but she caught up and stood in front of me.

" DONT YOU HEAR MY ASS TALKING TO YOU?"

"Yup." I said

"LISTEN YOU BETTER GO UP IN THERE AND SAY SORRY TO YOUR MOTHER. HOW DARE YOU? YOU HAVE NO MANNERS NOR RESPECT FOR ANYONE, YOU NEED AN ICE COLD ASS WHOOPING, IF YOU WERE MY CHILD I SWEA-"

"But that's the thing, you're not .. you're a dead beat MOM who LEFT HER DAUGHTER and KILLED HER FATHER, TUH YOU AINT SH-"
