School had finished last week and we had just landed in Jamaica. It was Mom, Dad,Aunt Cali, Monica, Marlon,De'andre and I. I was honestly so happy to get away. I was tired of the drama and the mix up. I texted Brendan telling him we landed safetly and walked off the plane. We went and got our luggage and made our way out of the airport. We walked into the front of the airport looking for a cab.
"Wah gwan sah? You need a likke drive?" (Whats up sir, do you need a drive ?) A man sitting down in his taxi asked.
"Yes that would be great, how much?" Dad asked, digging into his pockets pulling out his wallet.
"Tell me sumn' a which hotel are you stayin?" He sat down putting his finger on his chin.
"Grand Bahia" My dad answered.
"Mm...that will be 35 US"
"Oh okay good, how long will the drive be?"
"Bout 1 hour, hour and a half."The taxi man said while getting out of his van. "How many of uno here?" (How much people are here?)
He stood infront of us as he squinted up his eyes and pointed. "One, two, tree,four.five, six,seven, eight" He called while pointing to eacho person.
"Is that alright?" My mom asked.
"Mhm my girl.. everything crisp" (Everything's good).He said while rubbing his hands together.
He went to the back and opened up the trunk. He put everyone's luggage in the back of the trunk as everyone got inside the van. We buckled up our seatbelts and he began driving.
I looked out the window to look at the new scenery. Jamaica was beautiful, very different from Florida but very beautiful. I let the wind blow in my face, enjoying the breeze.
An hour later, we pulled up to the hotel. Grand Bahia was beautiful. it had long beautiful palm tree's with nice flooring. The taxi man helped us with our luggage.
We walked into to a nice air conditioned palace. It was stunning.
