Daniel's POV

Tears sting my eyes as I look at him. His cheeks are even more sunken in than last time I saw him, his bags have grown and his face is red and blotchy.

"J-Joey please don't. It's not worth it," I say as calmly as I can in this situation. No matter how much I dislike him right now, I cannot let him end his life like this.

He looks up at me, making direct eye contact.

"My life isn't worth it. Do you realize that I have nothing without you? What's the point in living a life nobody cares about? I'm just another fucking useless body on this earth. I'm taking up valuable space that someone of worth could be using." he says, his voice breaking.

I can't control myself, and I soon begin sobbing. He looks at me, a confused and concerned expression covering his face. He reaches over to touch me, and I immediately flinch, backing away.

"Daniel? What the fuck is wrong with you?" he yells, although, it's not an angry yell.

"Don't touch me!" I scream, my face growing more pale by the minute.

"See? This is what I fucking mean. There's no fucking point. You can barely even stand to look at me. You hate me. And you know what? I hate me too." he states, the tone of his voice hinting he's exhausted.

"You wouldn't fucking care if I was gone. You hate me anyways!" he screams angrily.

As if on cue, the rain begins pouring down harder, the winds going stronger as I sheepishly look to the ground. I hear him shuffle around, causing me to look up. He's standing precariously on the edge, the wind being enough to simply blow him off.

Joey's POV

I move closer to the edge, looking down at the rocky waters below. The rain mixes with my tears, the mixture running down my face. I feel a pang of guilt, but it quickly diminishes and the familiar numb feeling overtakes my body. One of my feet dangle over the edge, the other one coming closer. I don't bother looking behind me. Daniel has probably left my sorry ass here by now. My other foot slowly begins joining the other one, and I stumble, falling for a brief second before something stops me.

A hand, gripping tightly around my wrist.
