Daniel's POV
"Hell yeah!" Shane yells as I down my fifth shot of straight (what's that?) vodka.
My vision has blurred, the whole room spinning. I feel high off life, or maybe it's just the excessive amount of alcohol I've consumed this evening. Never did I expect my first time drinking to be in a frat house with a guy I barely know. My mind was completely taken off of Joey.
My stomach drops as I suddenly remember what happened. The life is lost from my eyes as I lose my balance, sitting down onto an empty chair. I feel an unknown substance soaking into my pants from the chair, but I don't care right now.
"Hey, you alright?" Shane asks, his voice laced with concern and eyes filled with concern.
"I'm fine," I mutter, rubbing my eyes and holding onto my head in pain.
The room begins to spin, and I soon feel hands lifting me up. I flinch at the contact, but I'm too weak to move. I turn my head, becoming face-to-face with Shane. I sigh in relief as he sets me down onto a soft bed. A glass of water is placed next to me and Shane takes a seat next to me.
"Drink." he orders, motioning towards the glass of water. I grab it, chugging it down and licking my lips.
"Now, you might want to take those pants off. You sat in some spilled rum." Shane chuckles lightly with the slightest bit of concern in his words. I nod, looking at him awkwardly.
"I won't look, Daniel." he promises, placing his hands over his eyes and humming.
I smile and fumble with my jeans, unbuttoning and unzipping them before sliding them down my legs. I crawl under the covers before Shane can see me, tapping his shoulder to notify him that I've finished. He uncovers his eyes and looks at me, pity.
"What even brought you here this evening? You seemed rough." Shane asks, pulling his legs onto the bed. I shake my head, wiping my dry eyes.
"Joey," I sigh, and that's all I have to say before he nods knowingly.
"I understand, but(t) fuck him. You deserve so much better than him, you know?" he states. I shrug.
"Not really. He is the love of my life." I sigh, staring at the ceiling.
"Sometimes when you love someone, you have to let them go." Shane says, patting my leg gently. He stands up, but I grab ahold of his arm.
"Can you stay?" I ask, and he nods. He sits on the bed beside me, not knowing where to go or what to do.
"You can come under here with me." I sigh, motioning towards the blanket. He smiles and awkwardly climbs in next to me.
I don't know if what happened next was just another one of my drunken acts, or if it was supposed to happen. But I turn to look at him, grabbing ahold of his slightly-scruffy face and pulling him in for a kiss.
(a/n: oH. really now?)
