Daniel's POV

As soon as the words exit Cat's mouth, a great deal of jealousy envelopes me.

"You're what?" I snap, standing up and storming towards her with rage. I stop immediately as I see the look on her face.

"No, Cat. I'm sorry. It's okay, we're not together anymore anyways..." I trail off and look at Cat again.

"You're not?" she asks meekly. I nod and she slumps her shoulders, sliding down the wall.

"But you have to realize he's gay and can never be with you. That's just how it goes." I sigh and sit next to her.

"Are you sure?" Cat asks and I sigh sympathetically in response. Tears begin welling in her eyes and my first instinct is to wrap my arms around her to comfort her.

"It'll be okay. Look, we can get through this together." I state reassuringly and she looks into my eyes.

"You don't hate me? Not even after all I've done?" she asks and I shake my head side-to-side in response.

"No, I don't. I've learned that hating others isn't hurting them, it's only hurting yourself, so you need to learn to forgive them." I reply and smile. She smiles back and I stand up, reaching my hand out for her to grab onto.

And then we walk out of that frat house. We leave the residue of mine and Shane's kisses, my drunkenness, Cat's pain, and my suffering. We leave it all and simply hop into her car to drive far away and forget about all our fears and stress. All we do is drive and talk about useless things and how stupid that bet was. How she regrets everything she ever did to me because it was purely out of jealousy. She knew Joey was simply into me and not her, so she needed revenge. I understand that and I wish I had seen it sooner than I did.

"You know what?" Cat says suddenly and I look over to her. "Let's go to Vegas."

"Vegas?" I question, smirking slightly.

"Vegas." she replies and I ponder (of something great) for a few moments before nodding.

"We're going to Vegas!"

Cat's POV

Wow, I can't believe he fell for that. What am I saying? Of course he did. He's simply a naïve child. I can't wait until we arrive at Vegas and he gets his surprise.

Phase two complete, ready for phase three.
