Daniel's POV

As we enter the crazy city of Vegas, I can't help but feel anxious. Was this stupid? Was this an act of drunk idiocy that I should've never done? Will I regret this? Is Cat plotting something? I shake my head, ridding of all thoughts. It'll be fun. It has to be.

"You okay there?" Cat asks suddenly. I look over and see her facing me for a brief moment before I nod.

"I'm fine."

"Daniel! I got you a drink!" Cat yells over the obnoxiously loud music. I smile as she walks over, handing me the familiar pink drink I had earlier in the night.

"Thanks," I yell back and take a big gulp.

"Are you going to come gamble or what?" she asks, placing her hands on her hips.

I shake my head, declining politely.

"Okay, party pooper!" she exclaims and scurries off, leaving me at the bar alone.

Did I mention? Cat got me a fake ID. I'm not sure when or how, but I'm too out of the loop right now to give a care. I wonder what Joey– no. I can't think about him. That's what got me into this mess in the first place.

After I've downed my drink, I begin to feel light-headed. It's not in the same way as earlier. The buzz is there, but not the same good feeling I felt earlier. I look around frantically searching for Cat but I don't see her. Where did she go?

My eyes dart around the area as I stand up, immediately losing my balance and falling over. The room begins to spin and I see Cat leaning over before another blurry figure leans over me as well and they pick me up. Until suddenly, everything goes black.
