When Luke and Ulonna stepped out of the transport back at Zell's home, they walked to one of the benches that were located on the front porch and sat down. Both of their minds were on the future. Ulonna opened the book in her hand and began to thumb through the brittle pages. She stopped at a certain page and started to read aloud. When she stopped he asked her, what it was saying.
"It's talking about how this world will change and how much desire she has to change it."
"Is that how you felt?" he questioned
"No, it was an excuse, because the group fought me on what the force wanted me to sing. This book is so easy to misinterpret." she said. Ulonna sat there quietly for a moment. Zell looked out the window and could see them sitting there. Ulonna closed the book as Zell and Zen came out the door. Zell came over and sat down next to her and Zen sat across form Luke.
"I see by the book they finally told you." Zell said as her eyes drew up from the book in Ulonna's hand.
"You knew!"
"Of course I did. When Mecome began your training, he started noticing things and he went looking for that very book in your hand.
"Was it the pheromone?" Luke asked.
"No, that came later. Do you remember what it was?" She directed her question back to Ulonna. She thought for a moment and it came to her.
"I started answering his thoughts. I would do things before he asked me to. Crowded rooms would make me panic. He had to train me how to decipher who was talking to me, from random thoughts. He told me; most force users can hear a name or a feel a presences, but never full thoughts. He said I needed to be careful, that people wouldn't understand. Now I just try to tune it out, but there are times."
"She doesn't just hear thoughts." Luke announced. They all looked over at him like he had shot the family pet.
"What?" Zell asked.
"She projected herself to me in dreams before we met." Ulonna cleared her throat.
"That wasn't just me," she admitted. "I was shown visions of you."
"But you continued them. We had entire conversations. I've sent a name and a warning before, but not what you can do."
"Did Mecome teach you this?" Zell inquired.
"No," she answered timidly. "When Shonna and I were girls we would talk to each other this way. My father thought we were both gifted, but it was only one sided. When I left I'm sure the outer rim mission didn't go as planned." She spat. Luke stared at her for a moment.
"No your right. Mara said it fell apart because a gift was lost. She became assassin for them instead." Ulonna rubbed her forehead and her ring glistened in the sunlight. Zell did a double take.
"Oh, my. I didn't even notice. When?" she asked taking her hand and looking at it.
"Last night at Darenin's."
"It's beautiful. I don't think I've ever seen this destine before."
"I had it made."
"Oh," she said, but she was interrupted by Jules walking up and joining the conversation.
"Hey you." He sat down on the other side of the bench, as the rest of the group showed up.
"Welcome to the party," Zell said as they sat down. Ulonna read her thoughts of what she was about to announce.
