The group found themselves flying into the atmosphere of Coruscont. Their minds weighted heavy on the news they were bringing back to the counsel. They all knew that it was only a matter of time before a war would break out.
It was late in the evening and Luke found himself telling Ulonna to get some rest before their long trip to Zenoban. When they entered the apartment they both bedded down for the long night. Ulonna was restless, returning to Zenoban weighed heavy on her mind. The thought of the prophecy crossed her mind. He wasn't invited to the planet. If they had, she would have thought otherwise. She tried to push it from her mind, but couldn't. "No more secrets, she thought. She could feel his sleepless mind in the next room and knew he was awake. It wasn't but a moment and she was knocking at his door.
"What is it," he asked leaning against the doorway.
"Can we talk?" she asked.
"Sure, come in," he said. She walked in and sat down on the bed.
"My mind is so restless, I couldn't sleep if I tried," she began. "I really don't want to go back there," she admitted. He sat on the bed with her.
"There's got to be something there you miss? Singing perhaps." His statement brought a smile to her face.
"You don't let up do you," she said taking him away from her thoughts.
"I want to hear you," he whispered. Her smile returned, but then painfully she said.
"I don't think I'll get the chance."
"What is it you are so afraid of?" He wrapped his arms around her.
"Separation!"
"I'll be with you the whole time. I won't let them separate us," he said. That did give some comfort and she wrapped her arms around him. They were face to face. She wanted to tell him the truth, but she couldn't. They stared at each other for a moment and then Luke passionately kissed her. "Does that help?" he asked when he pulled back. Ulonna smiled, but it didn't take the pain from her eyes. So he kissed her again; this time even more passionate. It took her thoughts away and she gave into his gentile touch.
Several hours later Ulonna awoke in his arms. They had been laying like that for hours, they were so comfortable, they had fallen asleep, but Ulonna was awakened. Her mind was so full of words and music. She couldn't slow it down. She knew she needed to commit it to paper. So she slipped out of the bed and put on her clock, and quietly left the room.
It didn't take long for Luke to wake with her absence. He lay there wondering if she, were regretting their passion. He sat up and wondered why she would leave. He stood up. He pushed the cuff of his pant lag back to his ankle, threw on his loose top and went out to find her. She was sitting on the sofa with a data card in her hand, writing. She looked up from the card when he walked in. "Hi, I didn't, wake you did I?" she asked. Luke shook his head.
"It was your absence." he said quietly.
"Oh," she said with in a sigh. "I'm sorry."
"I have to ask," he said sitting down on the sofa next to her. He was very hesitant. "You don't, regret last night, do you?" He finally asked.
"No, Why would you think." she stopped in mid-sentence, putting his thoughts together. She closed her eyes when she realized. "It looks that way, oh Luke," she said opening her eyes. "That's the farthest thing from my mind."
