Chapter 26

 General Fyion Skywalker sat on board his flagship waiting for the instructions of where the fleet was needed. Luke and Ulonna met with him outside of his ship. They had chosen General Wedge Antilles to lead in Ulonna's absence. He was a member of the Galactic Alliance and a very good choice to lead Luke thought.

"General, by order of the Zenoben council; I am to stay here. This is against my better judgment, but I will do what they ask." The General looked over at Zen and then back to Ulonna. "This is General Wedge Antilles," she continued. "He has my full confidence in leadership. He as seen many battles, and between the two fleets. I believe that this war will end quickly. Wedge, we place you both in charge. Listen to each other. Fyion here is a Zenoben Jedi worrier, he will know things before you do. The only thing he lacks is the experience of war. You know tactic, you seen the way they fight. Here, I give this to the both of you." She said handing to them both a silver rod. It was small enough to fit in the palm of their hand.

"What is this?" General Fyion asked.

"It is an emergence bacon. This is only to be used in the last resort. It will call us personally." She looked over at Zen. "We will answer." Zen had a look of discus on his face. She turned to Luke. "Is there anything you would like to add?" she questioned.

"Just be careful out there, and may the force be with you," he wished them.

After the fleets had left, the group went to the apartment to move her things. As they did, Zen pulled Ulonna aside. He handed her the silver box.

"What is this?" she asked, taking it from his hand.

"I do not know. This is from the council. The only explanation they gave was; that you would know when to use it." Ulonna tried to open it but it was locked. So she set it on one of the bedside tables, in Luke's room and went back out to help finish moving.

After they were finished, it was late in the evening and Ulonna prepared for bed. When Luke came in to check on her to see if she was settled, she was reading from the old book she got from the Zenoben Council. She looked up to see him enter.

"Are you going to make me fall asleep in this really large bed all by myself?" she asked.

"I was going to stay up with the guys discussing security detail, but if you want me to stay I will."

"No, that's okay. You don't have to."

"Ryessa."

"I just don't want to be in here all by myself. I sleep better when we are together. I just feel safer when you are at my side."

"Oh," his expression changed. "Okay, I'll stay. I'm going to go out there and tell Zen that I am turning in. I'll be right back." he turned and walked back out the door. When he found Zen, he was talking to the other guards about who would take the first watch. When Zen noticed Luke he looked up at him from where he was sitting.

"I'm going to turn in now, you guys can use that other room." He said.

"Getting started early are we" Zen asked. Luke smiled.

"No, I think that disk scared her more than she led on. She doesn't want to be alone. Beside I need to give her something any way." He said glaring at Zen. He pulled the medallion from beneath his top.

"Yes you do." Zen said with a smile. Luke turned and walked back into the room. Ulonna was still reading from the book when Luke bounced on the bed. She looked at him funny.
