Two Stars Collide

.....She was given the world, so much that she couldn't see

And she needed someone, to show her who she could be

At the parking lot of UP, Alden and Maine can't decide whether to attend the school play. Maine is now a sophomore student after enrolling in the open university school program of UP. She was cast on the school play on one of her subject and now she's having butterflies in her stomach and she don't know what to do. Her celebrity status didn't apprehend her so much instead its the major reason why she, MAINE MENDOZA, for heavens sake got a stage fright.

Alden: Meng in less than an hour , the play or your play will start. Are you going out or not?

MAine: Don't force me, alam mong natatakot ako.

Alden: Why are you so afraid ? Its just a play. Meng your an artist, you have been doing on the spot workshops in Kalyeserye and stage acting for 4 years now, so why so scared?

Maine: I don't know, i just don't know. Eversince i was cast in the school play I've been like this. Ang dami kong iniisip, baka hindi ko magawa ng tama at maganda ang character sa play. Alam mo na Den, di bah, iba toh. Iyong sa tv pwedeng mag take 2, dito hindi baka magkamali ako.

Alden: So sinasabi mo sa akin na si Maine Mendoza, nawalan na ng self-confidence, ganun ba?

Maine: Parang oo na parang hindi. Hindi ko ma-explain.!!!

Alden: Okay, call your professor and told her you will be late. May pupuntahan lang tayo.

Maine: Saan? Baka mas lalo akong di maka-attend, lagot ka sa akin Ricardo.

Alden: Madali lang tayo, may ipapakita lang ako sa'yo. Promise.

At the Luneta Park where Alden stop the car, Maine stood there at the middle of the grounds. She watched Alden who is also watching her and smiled.

Maine: Bakit dito mo ako dinala? Anong meron dito?

Alden: I want you to see a very special STAR, Meng.

Meng: Star?

Maine look around and by her amazement, no one was there, they were all alone in the park (first time nawalan ng tao sa park, hehehe)

Maine: Alden, ano toh? Ano bang kalokohan toh?

Alden: I told you i want you to meet my star, my favorite star.

Maine: I don't understand. Walang tao dito, tayong dalawa lang. Asan ang star na sinasabi mo?

Alden: Exactly Maine, tayong dalawa lang dito and have you ever thought that maybe the star I was referring to was ME and YOU. (Smiling, taas-baba kilay)

Maine: Richard! (Maine is now a little annoyed)

Alden: Okay, di bah kanina sinabi mo na kinakabahan ka because of your school play. Kinakabahan ka pa rin ba until now?

Maine: Oo, kaya nga ako naaasar ehh. Pasensya na.

He made a step closer to her and held her in his arms.

Alden: For the hundredth time I told you Meng, you shouldn't be afraid, you know why? Because you're a Star. You are My star.

Maine look at Alden, face him and hug him tightly.

......You showed me, what I couln't find

When two different stars collide..lalalala.......

Maine: How did you know I was a star?

Alden: I know you are a star because you shines brightly at your simpliest and your twinkle makes a guy like me so happy.

Maine: Ah-huh...totoo?(giggles)

Alden: Alam mo Maine, everyone is a star on their own phases of life, just like the stars above...

Maine looked above her as well as Alden.

Alden: You see that, ang dami nilang stars sa taas but how come that they shine all at the same time?

Maine: Bakit nga ba?

Alden: Kasi, they have the courage to take a risk and believe that they will rise after a fall, you know, like a big bang. They believe na may pwesto sila sa kalawakang iyan pero syempre in order for them to stay there, they have to prove something for themselves. They have to acquire a fighting heart.

Maine: You want me to have a fighting heart Den? You want me to believe in myself?

Alden look at her lovingly.....

........She was scared, unprepared, lost in the dark, fallen apart

I can survive with you by my side, with you I'll be alright..........

Alden: No, there's no need for you to have a fighting heart because you already have one. For 4 years you have endured so many hates and bashing in show business but you fight back with gracefulness and gentleness. It's not the way your haters expected though but the fact that you've face them head on and quite casually made them rethink their strategy, mind you *laughs* What I am doing now is to let you "REMEMBER" that you possessed that strength...I let you remember to believe in yourself and that your a shining star and I hope naaalala mo na.

Maine now realized what Alden was trying to say. She just needed to be herself.

Maine: I do remember. Thanks to you.

Alden: No, thanks to you.

Maine: At bakit na naman??

Alden: Ipina-alala ko sa'yo kasi everytime your star glooms, the effect on my star is double..my star lost its light and I'm LOST too..kaya ikaw dapat nagsa-shine ka palagi para ganun din ako. Meng, what you do to yourself you also do to me, what happens to you happens to me too and how you feel, I can feel it too because we are One..your star and my star collides so perfectly.

Maine speechless of what he said just kissed Alden faithfully.

Alden: Ready for your play now?

Maine: Yes i am. Thank you and I love you so much.

Alden: And I love you too..as constant as the stars above. Please remember that.

Maine: I will never forget.

....and with that, they drove back to school and Alden who is sitting at the front seat watch his STAR who shines brightly at her stage.

(A/N: The real title of the song is Two worlds collide, i just replace it with a Star para mas bagay... I didn't know how to put the note icon after every song lyrics so, pasensya na po and I also didn't know how to edit words here in wattpad,  put sentences in the center and sorry for my grammar :D)
