Loving Her Perfect Imperfections

Its a perfect Saturday evening for Maine and Alden because rehearsals for SPS just ended a little too early than they expected, they can have at least the whole night on talking and catching up with their lives. Alden just arrive from the States for his album tour and so does Maine from Bangkok for her Rejoice TVC shoot and missing each other is the least thing they can do now.

Aldens' car was parked outside Maines' house and they both snuggling each other with Alden hugging Maine from the back. All of a sudden she remembered about a certain article that she's reading just early.

"Ay Richard, this article is wonderful. It describes a little activity that we can both do to improve our relationship. Can we do it together?".

"Sure," Alden said after kissing her temple.

"It says here that for one day, each of us will separately write a list of what areas we want the other to change. Little annoyances, little irritations, etc. And then tomorrow, we share this list to each other. Deal?"

"Okay, Deal," Alden smiled.

After two hours of just sitting and feeling each other, Alden decided to call the day off. He then accompanied Maine inside her condo and after a goodnight kiss, he drove away to his own place. When he finally reach home, he instantly remembered Maine's little game and started working on it. He sat on the living room with a paper and a pen and started writing. On the other hand, on her bedroom Maine did the same thing.

The next day, early morning, Alden came over to Maines' place for they will be attending the first mass of the first Sunday of April 2017. As a couple they are making it a habit to attend mass every Sunday. After the mass at Maines' house, over breakfast she excitedly asked Alden.

"Remember our game Den?."

"I am," Alden smiled and shows off the paper he had written last night.

"Okay, Game.Can I start first?" Maine said.

"Yes you may," Alden said to her beaming, amused on how excited Maine was.

Meng hurriedly pulled out three pages,single spaced, font 8 long list. She began to read her list.

"Alden, I don't like it when you do this....." On and on, Maine read the little ways Alden has annoyed her.

Alden felt a sting in his heart and Maine noticed this.

"Do you want me to continue love?," she asked.

"I can handle it. Go on," he said so Maine continued to read. Finally, she said," Okay Den, its your turn."

Again, Alden pulled out his piece of paper and said," Meng, yesterday I asked the question what are the changes I want in you. But hard as I tried to think, I couldn't think of one thing." Alden then showed to her the empty piece of paper in his hand.

"Because to me, you're perfect in your imperfections. I've accepted who you are---- strengths and weaknesses and I love the whole package. I love the mix. You are a wonderful person and I Love You so much."

As Alden said those words, Maine was now in tears and sobbing. She rolled up her three pages paper in her hand and beat Alden on the head saying...

"Bwiset ka, Kurimaw ka talaga!!" he hugged her tight which she also did then cupped Aldens' face and said, "May nakalimutan pa ako sa lista ko."

"Haaaaah, meron pa???," Alden was wide-eyed and shocked but still smiling.

" Yes, for my last item, Richard, you are a pain in my neck, my mind and my heart and I hate you for that.....but I can manage because I Love You just the same," Maine said before giving him a kiss and they hug for a very long time.
