(A/N: Yay, the last one of Getaway, I've enjoyed writing this series kasi it is certainly one of the most unforgettable off-cam happenings of Maine and Alden and I hope mas marami pa silang happenings na pagsasaluhang dalawa. Can't wait! It's a short update so, hope you enjoy it.)

Maine nearly fell on her toes as Richard dragged her further and further away from their group of friends, they are heading to the beach now to start their water activities that according to him he carefully planned out.
"I think the beach goes that way," she said, pointing in the other direction.
"Alam ko," RJ said quickly. "Pero paunahin na muna natin sila,"
Maine smiled. Richard's antics for today is totally getting into her. "Pero-"
Richard pressed his chest against Maine's, pinning her back against a secluded wall. He silently ask permission whether or not he can continue what he was supposed to do.
"5 minutes..." Maine said between kisses. She tried to keep her focus, but RJ was occupying all of her senses at the moment.
RJ looked at her, his eyes full of mischief. "Meng, were sneaking," he said, kissing her again. "Hindi ka galit?"
As much as she want to but, Maine couldn't help but allow him because, hello, she's enjoying this side of RJ. Minsan lang naman ehh, and with that she wound her arms around her boyfriend's neck.
"Talagang bumabawi ka noh?" she murmured.
RIchard laughed against the corner of Maine's mouth, but he didn't reply. She rolled her eyes, nag-e-enjoy ang loko. After some time, the two headed in the beach, ready to start the day of fun and pleasure.
They rode a jet ski, soar high in a parasail, go snorkeling, and enjoyed the banana boat. Her RJ, pretty much made this trip to the beach extraordinary. Sana lagi nalang ganito, she thought. They were now sitting on the sand with her back hard-pressed on his chest and his arms cuddling the rest of her body, watching the sun sets on the horizon.
"Meng, do you remember what I told you, kahapon?" he said, a wistful look in his eyes.
"Which part? Ang dami mo kayang sinabi," she whispered, a smile tugging at her lips.
"Yung part na sinabi kong kung nasaan ka, pupuntahan kita," he paused. "Totoo yun,"
"Hmmm-mmmm, pero hindi sa lahat ng oras, kaya mo di bah?"
"Noon," he said seriously, "Pero ngayon, kakayanin ko, gagawin ko, para sa'yo"
"Don't make promises you can't keep, Tisoy. Okay na ako sa kung ano ang kaya mong ibigay sa ngayon."
"No, hindi mo gets ehh. I don't want to lose you. My whole life, all I've wanted is for something to be permanent. Sa mundo na pinili ko at pinili mo rin, walang permanente Meng. Everybody was always leaving. But then you came and I've finally felt that feeling of belongingness. Na kahit kailan hindi ako mag-iisa. I finally feel safe at ayokong gumawa ng mga bagay na makakasira sa kung anong meron tayo. Naiintindihan mo ba ako?" he said seriously, eyes looking at me.
"So, I'm your something permanent? Sigurado ka talagang hindi kita iiwan?" she said teasingly but deep inside, her stomach is churning. Naman RJ, yung mga salita mo pamatay ha. Kinikilig ako.
"Yes, you left a permanent mark here and here," pointing at his head and heart, "at mahirap ka na atang tanggalin and no, you're not going to leave me, I'm very sure of that." He said, a light and a comfortable smile carved in his lips.
"Grabe siya ohh, grabeng tiwala sa sarili," she said playfully. But then, she finally understands what he's trying to say. He will always be there, siya na rin ang nagsabi, kung nasan ako, pupuntahan niya ako. Walang iwanan, walang bitawan. We both cemented a place in each other's heart and life. Walang makakatibag dun.
"Sa gwapo kong to, Mendoza, lalayasan mo pa ako? Siniswerte ka," he said jokingly and laugh a very hearty laugh, and then, his next words left her speechless, "Mahal mo ako, just as much as I love you, kaya hindi mo ako iiwan."
"Huh?" she looked at him stunned, walang orient-orient talaga tong mokong na'to. Di pa nga ako nakakabawi sa speech niya kanina, bumabanat na naman.
"You love me right?" he stared at me to find assurance, "As in yung mahal mo talaga ako, di bah?" he sounded alarmed, maybe because I 'm not answering him back and just intently looking at him with a bemused expression. She felt him stiffened and his eyes displayed worry, but before he can think of anything else, she kissed him fervently, in the middle of Puka Beach, with maybe a hundred people walking close by.
She kissed him for all the world to see.
She kissed him to promise that she, too, will always be there for him.
She kissed him for all he's worth.
She kissed him for being her source of happiness.
She kissed him for being her Richard.
She kissed him for everything that he can be.
"Actually, I've only loved 4 men in my life," she said, their foreheads touching. "First, siyempre si Papa God. Second, si Tatay. Third, they are counted as one because they're my siblings, si Kuya Kulas and Dean...and fourth.." she paused, look at him and thank God for giving her a man who loved so deeply.
"Is You. I love you. Mahal din kita, Richard. Tinatanong pa ba yan?" and with that he laughed.
This time he was the one who initiated the kiss. It was a picture-perfect moment. The sunset and the beach bears witness to two souls who found permanence in an ever changing world.
