We arrive in Anchor Bay quite early and I'm relieved to be back. The whole episode with Ash was too complicated for me. If I'd known about how she felt I wouldn't have started anything with her. She's my friend and I would never intentionally hurt her. At least now I won't have to be faced with that problem and I'm sure that the next time we meet she'd have moved on.

The good that has come from this weekend is the bond that Nevaeh and I have formed. I can't help but feel that I'm exactly where I should be. And not like in the past, where, if I'm honest with myself, it had been all about sex. I just can't get enough of this girl. I can only pray I'll make it out of this with my heart and head intact.

I reach over and lightly wake Nevaeh.

"I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to doze off and leave you driving by yourself." She apologizes.

"It's okay, you didn't get that much rest this weekend, you needed the nap." I smirk at her.

I interlock our fingers and raise her hand to my mouth kissing each knuckle softly. Her breath hitches and the mood between us changes.

"Thank you for this weekend." I continue, my voice hoarse as I recall all that had transpired.

Her blush spreads and I'm quite sure she can hear my heart hammering in my chest just by touching her.

She hooks her finger into the front of my t-shirt and makes small circles with her finger. I swallow and wonder if she knows the effect she has on me but I somehow doubt that she does.

She uses the finger that's hooked into my t-shirt to pull me forward and kisses me, I can feel the smile on her lips as she does this.

Her hand travels up my neck and she pushes her hand into the hair at the nape of my neck.

"Thank you. I couldn't have asked for a better weekend." She smiles and kisses me once again.

She pulls away and exhales softly.

"We need to go inside," she says and looks at me in a way that makes me want to put her over my shoulder and carry her off.

"If you don't stop looking at me like that I'm going to throw you over my shoulder and carry you to the back." I say softly, glancing over to see if Micah's still sleeping.

"I'd go willingly," she breathes and it's barely a whisper.

Before I can answer she's out of the car and walking to the front door. The noise of the car door closing wakes Micah from his slumber so all I can do is sit there and let my eyes follow her inside.

"Mom's left a note, she has a surgery and will probably only be back in the morning,"

Nevaeh says to us as we enter the kitchen. I can't help but smile, I get another chance to be alone with her.

Micah grunts inaudibly while texting on his phone and goes up to his room.

Picking her bag up from the floor I proceed to carry it up to her room with her in tow. I lie down on her bed my hands behind my head and watch as she changes into shorts and a tank top. I kick off my shoes and make myself comfortable.

"You could take a pic if you want, it'll last longer," she says to me, using the same words I did when I first caught her checking me out.

"I just might," I laugh, taking out my phone and snapping a few pics while she does some goofy poses.

"You like that, huh?" her tone changes and her poses become more seductive as she steps closer to me.

In one pic I take she's lifting her top to reveal just the right amount of skin at her stomach. I abandon the phone and can't take my eyes off of her. They say a picture is worth a thousand words but this one took my breath away.
