We managed to find the girls later on and somehow they'd gotten drawn into a drinking game with some of the other girls from the village. Thankfully the three of them were apparently better or worse at the game than the others because they weren't as drunk as the others. I can't really complain about Kaida drinking because I enabled her to once then I drank too a while back. We all help our girls to their feet and lead them back to our houses. Dealing with drunk Kaida isn't too hard usually but she is still so excited about the evening that she keeps pulling on my hand to go somewhere else or gets sidetracked by the lights and sounds. Eventually I stop and pick her up over my shoulder and continue on despite her slurred protests. I sigh and explain to her that she can't go out and play anymore because she drank too much. Her response is: "I'm not home I swear so we don't need to go drunk." I chuckle and adjust her weight as I unlock the door. When I let her stand again, she loses her balance and falls to the floor. I lean against the door as she tries and fails repeatedly to take off her sandals. Why am I not helping and why is she having so much trouble? She's not wearing shoes. She left the house without them since we were just going through the streets. I watch her for a moment longer before helping her to her feet and telling her that she isn't wearing shoes. She looks down at her toes and giggles before pulling me toward the bedroom. I have to almost wrestle her to get her to put on night clothes but she finally concedes, laughing at me like she did last time she was drunk because I wasn't watching her change. She is my fiancée now, but still. To my surprise she is able to change out of a full kimono and into an oversized t-shirt while drunk, but can't do the same when wearing a tank top and a pair of shorts. I'll never understand this girl but I love it.
