Chapter 19

I was told later on that with the fresh amounts of magic power, they were able to kill it but I can't quite remember what happened. I woke up what was apparently days later, but could only be hours I thought, in the medical wing of Fairy Tail.

"Hey, you're awake" Wendy says, grinning. "We did it. We killed it."

I smile and nod. "Good."

"You pushed yourself too hard" Wendy shakes her head. "You shouldn't have done, you could've died."

"But I didn't"

She laughs.

"How much did I miss?"

"Not much really" she says, reducing the grin to a simple smile. "Apart from Gray being ambushed by Juvia the second we got back, nothing. Gajeel hadn't even noticed we were gone!"

"You're scaring me" I sit up right. "I seriously feel like I've been transported a few years into the future. I literally have heard nothing about this guild apart from that it's the best in Fiore and about a couple of the members, like Gildarts and Mira."

Wendy looks like she's about to reply but Natsu appears. "Hey, she's awake, don't scare us like that seriously. You actually made Erza kinda scared and that takes a lot, well done."

"Yeah, she was freaking out kind of bad" Lucy says.

"Come on guys, it wasn't that bad" Gray is leaning against the wall rolling his eyes. His arm is round a girl, leaning on his chest, with short, dark blue hair, clearly Juvia. "Wendy was the worst. Come on, it was hysterical."

"Shut up" Wendy mutters, blushing. Natsu burst out laughing.

"So Wren what d'ya say?" Natsu says. "Loads of people chicken out after their first job. You staying? You joining 'Team Natsu'?"

I blink, unprepared for the question. Then, I nod. "You bet."
