Chapter 2- Trio

Briar's pov
The next day I wake up, shower, put on my makeup, change into my dance clothes and walk downstairs to have breakfast. I have dance today but I don't want to see Myles. I saw his Instagram, there was a picture of him and Abi kissing. The caption said 'can't wait for my girl to join dance with me!'. It made me feel really sad but I have to hide my emotions from everyone.

Once I pour my milk into my cereal, my mum comes downstairs.
"Morning Bri." She says.
"Morning mum." I say.
"Excited to see Myles again?" She asks and winks.
"I don't want to talk about it." I say.
"Why not?" She asks.
"I said I don't want to talk about it." I repeat.
"Oh ok." Mum says.

My phone beeps. It's a text from Myles.
M- Hey guess what?
B- What?
M- Abi is joining out classes today!
B- Great.
M- See you there!
B- Bye.
Great. Abi is definitely joining CDC. She seems nice but I just wish I was with Myles, not her.

"Abbey come downstairs, it's time to go!" My mum yells and I walk to the car.
Abbey soon catches up with me. She doesn't say anything because she knows that I don't want to go to dance but if I don't, I fail dance.

Soon enough our car pulls up outside the studio. Me and Abbey wave our mother goodbye and she drives off.
"You ok?" She asks.
"Yeah." I say and we both walk in.

Jessy greets me with a hug.
"Myles is already here and Abi has joined!" She says.
"I know." I say with a sad tone of voice.
"You don't need to talk to them." Abbey says.
"I can't believe he would do that though." Jessy says.
"I didn't think he would." I say and look over to him.
Abi and him are both laughing and he's helping her with tricks. I shake my head and think. Come on Briar, you don't need to see him. He obviously doesn't care about you anymore.

"Alright dancers gather around." Alain says and we all form a circle around her.
"For the next few days we are going to do trios! Let's have Devon, Abbey and Brooklyn together, Tanner, Jessy and Jenn together and Myles, Abi and Briar." Alain says.
I look at Jessy with an annoyed look.
"Can I swap with Briar?" She asks.
"Nope." Alain says.
"Thanks for trying." I whisper to Jessy and she gives me a sorry look.

"We'll take the music room." Jessy says.
"Studio A." Myles says.
"I guess studio B." Devon says.
Everyone leaves except for me, Myles and Abi. There was a silence for a few minutes until Abi speaks.

"Why don't we do a love story?" She says.
"Yeah!" Myles says snd kisses her cheek.
"I'll just third wheel." I say quietly.
"Pardon Briar?" Myles asks.
"I said it's a great idea." I lie.
"I know, Abi comes up with the best ideas." He says and gives her a kiss.
I feel my insides curl up.
"Let's do it like Romeo and Juliet! Me and Myles want to be together but Briar doesn't want us too. In the end, we show her how much we love each other and she lets us be together." Abi says proudly.
"Awesome! Let's start rehearsing!" Myles says.

Really? Has he just forgotten about what we used to have together? Our chemistry, our love? It's all gone. I hate our trio and we haven't even started it.

Suddenly I see Jessy knocking on the door.
"Come in." Myles says.
"Hey Jess." I say and we both go to talk outside.
"How's your trio going?" She asks.
"We're doing a Romeo and Juliet trio and I'm the bad person!" I say angrily.
"Bri I'm so sorry. Me, Abbey, Brooklyn and Jenn have all tried to switch places with you but Alain won't allow us!" She says.
"Thanks, you guys are the best." I say snd hug her.

"Briar we need to rehearse." Abi says angrily.
"I guess I have to go. See you later Jess." I say.
"Bye." Jessy says and I walk back into the room with Abi.
"I was thinking we could do a lift and Briar makes you drop me." Abi says to Myles.
God I already hate this girl.
"But babe I don't want to drop you." Myles says.
Can he not call her 'babe'?
"Don't worry, you can catch me." Abi says and they start kissing.

They have a full make out session for ten minutes so I text Abbey whilst I'm waiting for them to finish.
B- Help.
A- What's wrong??
B- This. I send her a short video clip of them making out.
A- Ew.
B- They've been like this for ten minutes!
A- Tell them to stop!
B- I tried several times but they just ignored me.
A- They're disgusting.
B- I know right.
A- Sorry got to get back to rehearsal! Try and make them stop!
B- Bye, love you.

I look up to Myles and Abi. It had now been fifteen minutes. I put my phone in my bag and start snapping my fingers at them.
"Hello? For those of us who are still on earth, we need to practice." I say with sass.
They make me sick.
"Ugh Briar have you never been in love?" Abi says as Myles lets go of her waist.
I am in love Abi. In love with Myles.

"Let's go from the top." Myles says.
"Actually we haven't done anything because you were too busy tongue wrestling!" I say angrily.
"Calm down we have loads of time." Abi says.
"You know what would be easier?" I ask.
"What?" Myles asks.
"If I choreographed a solo and you two do a duet." I say and storm out of the room.
"Briar wait!" Myles shouts but doesn't come after me.

I go back to the door to listen to what they say.
"She's such a drama queen. Has she never seen a kiss before?" Abi asks.
"I know right! She's acting really strange lately. Can you go and get her? We'll get in trouble if we have no trio." Myles says.
So he doesn't even want to get me himself?
"Anything for you Mylo." She says and walks out to get me.
Only I call him Mylo. Then I hear her coming so I pretend to be stretching at the wall.
"Come on we need you." She says sounding annoyed.
"Fine." I say and walk back in with her.

Then we choreograph the routine and I feel awful. I hate them both. I don't want to show this trio to everyone even though we don't have a choice. It's just so hard for me. I still love Myles.

Anyway, tonight Jessy, Brooklyn and Jenn are coming for a sleepover. I have to tell them everything that happened today.
