Chapter 13- Announcing

Briar's pov
The next day I wake up and see that Abbey isn't here. Oh yeah, Devon said that he'd pick her up from our house from now on.My mum was happy about it because she didn't have to drive us to dance because I'd been getting the 'bus' from now on. Yeah, me and Myles haven't told anyone about our relationship yet. We wanted it to be a secret.

After I'd got ready, I hear a car horn outside- Myles. I rushed out of the door with my dance bag and got into his car. He makes me feel safe and I love being with him.
"God morning beautiful." He says.
"Morning My." I say.
He turns the engine on and starts driving.

"How are you?" He asks.
"A little better but my sister keeps asking about that day." I say.
"Maybe you should just tell her what happened." He says.
"No!" I say.
"Why not?" He asks.
"Because everyone will fuss over me and treat me differently. I don't want that." I say.
"If that's what you want then don't tell anyone." He says.
"You won't tell anyone will you?" I ask.
"Of course I won't." He replies.
"Thanks My." I say.
"No problem." He says.

Soon enough we arrive at CDC and when we get inside studio A, everyone is crowded around Abi.
"Speak of the devil." She says looking at Myles as we walk toward them.
"What?" Myles ask.
"I can't believe you cheated on Abi Myles!" Devon says.
"I didn't! There just wasn't anytime to tell her." Myles says.
"Briar I can't believe that you made up horrible rumours up about Abi." Tanner says.
"I didn't." I say.
"Well then what's this?" Tanner asks and shows me Abi's phone.
There is a screenshot of an Instagram conversation between me and Abi. It makes it seem like I'm saying horrible things to her. However, I spot her mistake.
"Nice try Abi but my name is Briar not Brisr." I say.
Abi scowls and everyone gets annoyed with her and apologise to me.

"Myles and Briar! Duet practice now!" Alain say and shoves us out of studio A.
"Music room?" Myles asks.
"Yeah." I reply.

Then my phone beeps. It's Abbey.
A- Abi said that you and Myles are dating.
B- Yeah.
A- Finally!
B- We didn't want anyone to know.
A- Oh well.
B- Got to practice, bye!
A- Bye!

"Who was that?" Myles asks.
"Abbey. She said that Abi told everyone that we're dating." I say.
"I hate that girl." He says.
"Join the club." I say snd we both giggle.
"Do you want to go over our duet?" He asks.
"Sure." I say and put the music on.

We start dancing our duet and it's great. This time I'm not half asleep so it looks good. Once we finish Myles gives me a high five and then we hear something.
"Bryles!" Someone yells.
We turn around and see everyone standing there.
"What?" Myles asks.
"Bryles- it's a cross between Briar and Myles, duh!" Jessy says.
I feel my facing turning all shades of red so I turn back around and pretend to be busy with the speakers.
"Aw is Briar embarrassed?" Brooklyn says which makes my face turn even more red.

"Of course she is. She's embarrassed for being a cheater's girlfriend." Someone says.
Do I even need to say who it is? How much drama does Abi need to cause?

I turn around furiously.
"He's not a cheater!" I yell.
"Then why was he dating me and you at the same time?" She asks and crosses her arms.
"There wasn't any time to tell you! It was literally two hours!" I yell.
"Two hours of cheating. You don't know what that feels like. Why? Because you've never had a boyfriend because no body likes you!" She says with a laugh.
That's it.
"You take that back Abi!" I yell and jump on top of her which pushes her to the ground.
"Get off me you psycho!" She yells.

I was about to punch her when I felt someone pull me off her.
"Briar calm down!" They say.
I turn around and see Myles.
"I think we should go." Abbey says and everyone leaves.

"Briar you've never been that angry before." He says as I sit down on the bench.
"Myles she keeps being mean to you!" I yell.
"It's not your job to look out for me. You looked like you wanted her dead." He says.
"Of course it's my job to look out for you!" I yell.
"Calm down Bri." He says.
"Myles she said no one likes me." I say.
"Bri loads of people like you! I like you and so does everyone else at CDC." He says.
"I guess." I say.
"I promise. You have more friends then I can count!" He says which makes me giggle.
"Thanks My." I say.
"What for?" He asks looking puzzled.
"For putting a smile on my face when I'm sad." I say.
"Well I am pretty great." He says jokingly.

We both laugh for a bit and then continue rehearsing. The duet competition is tomorrow and I'm ready. I can't wait to get out on stage and show everyone what I've got.
