Chapter 6- Battle

Briar's pov
I enter studio A nervously. I hope Myles isn't there, he really scared me yesterday? What did I do to make him almost hit me? I don't understand him. I haven't told anyone about what happened because they'll just worry and I don't want that to happen. If I tell my parents, they'll pull me out of the studio because they'll just think that Myles will hurt me more.

Anyway, no one is in the studio which is weird. I check my watch. I'm half an hour early! How did that happen? All of a sudden I hear footsteps. I turn around and see Abi. Ugh.

"What are you doing here?" She asks.
"Give me your spot in the duet." She demands.
"No way!" I say.
"Then I challenge you to a dance battle." She says.
"Winner gets Myles." I say.
"Deal." She says and holds out her hand.
"Deal." I say and shake her hand.
"Here now before class begins." She says.
"Fine." I say and turn on some music.

We both start dancing. I throw a trick, she throws a trick. When will this end? She does an aerial so I do a front aerial. When she sees that I did a better trick than her, she pushes my chest against the wall. This is practically what happened to me yesterday.

"I'm doing the duet with Myles." She says.
"No. Alain told me to." I say.
"He's mine!" She yells and slaps me in the face.
Ouch! That really hurt!
"Say that I'm doing the duet and I'll let go." She snarls.
"No! I'm doing the duet, I'm the better dancer!" I exclaim.
She hits me again and then continues.
"Stop!" I yell.

"What the hell is going on here?" A voice says.
Me and Abi look at the door where we see Myles standing. Abi drops me and pretends nothing happened.

"Well?" Myles asks.
"Well what?" Abi says and flutters her eyelashes.
"What were you doing to Briar?" He asks.
"Nothing." She says and he looks at me for an answer.

I start to back away.
"Please don't hurt me as well." I say.
"Forget about yesterday. I'm sorry." He says.
"Apology accepted." I say.
"Abi stay there, Briar come with me for a minute." He says and walks out of the door.
I do what he said and followed him.

"What just happened?" He asks.
"Abi challenged me to a dance battle and the prize was our duet. When she saw that I was doing better, she threw me against the wall and started hitting me when I refused to give up the duet. Then you walked in." I say.
"Is that true?" He asks.
"Yeah." I say.
Suddenly everyone starts arriving.
"We'll talk about this later." He says and walks into the studio with Devon.

Jessy walks up to me.
"What were you two lovebirds talking about?" She asks and smiles.
"Nothing." I say and walk into the studio.
Abi glares at me so I glare back. Then, we start our acro class.
