Chapter 17- She's Starting Again

Briar's pov
The next morning I wake up next to Myles. I can't believe he spent the whole night with me. He's so sweet. His arm is around me and I'm pretty sure that he won't be able to feel it by the time he wakes up. It has been around me for the whole night!

I slowly sit up, making sure that I don't wake him, and place him in a more comfortable position. Then, I grab my silver phone from my bedside table and text Abbey.

B- Hey Abs, are you awake?
A- Yes, sleeping vertically on a chair is not comfy.
B- You didn't go home yesterday?
A- Nope! I'm waiting to see you but Myles has been in there for a long time. He hasn't come out.
B- That would most likely be because he's asleep next to me.
A- Of course he fell asleep, it's Myles.
B- Are you the only one awake?
A- Yeah.
B- Want to come into my room? There is a comfy sofa ;)
A- I'm on my way.

With that, I put my phone back on the table and soon see Abbey rushing into my room. It was quite early, seven in the morning in fact, and everyone else in the room was asleep. Abbey tip toed towards me trying not to wake anyone. Once she reached me, she gave me a big hug.

"Haha, look at Myles." She says pointing at him when she pulls away.
It was quite an amusing sight- he had his face touching my arm and was snoring.
"That's Myles for you." I say and we both giggle.
"So how are you feeling?" She asks.
"A little better but not that great." I reply and let out a small sigh.
"You'll be back to your old self in no time!" She says.
"So you didn't sleep that well last night?" I ask.
"Nope. Do you mind if I take a nap on this sofa?" She asks.
"Go ahead." I say and she lies down.

About a minute later, she's fast asleep. I guess it's just me and my phone again. I scroll through my Instagram feed and a message pops up from Jessy- 'I think that you should see Abi's newest Instagram picture, hope you're ok xx' . What has Abi posted I wander as I type in her name. I click on her profile. Her latest picture is of her smiling with the caption 'I love it when the annoying things in life disappear for six weeks :)'. Are you kidding me Abi? How rude is she? I mean who has the nerve to do that? I've just broken my ankle and she posts that. What is her problem?

Suddenly I feel Myles move. I look over to him and he starts to open his eyes.
"Morning My." I say softly.
"Mphh." He says back.
I forgot that he doesn't function well in the morning.
"Sleep well?" I ask after a few minutes so that he is properly woken up.
"Yeah but I can't feel my arm." He says which makes me giggle.
I knew it!
