Kris face went another deep shade of red and felt hot as she reread and reread yet again what was printed on that piece of paper that fell from her file folder a while ago. She had abandoned doing her designs, her face staring blankly at her computer monitor. God! Was Christian really serious about this?? Had he intentionally slipped this piece of paper when he had given it to her for revisions?? She hadn't noticed anything different from Christian a while ago except for his nasty temper. Christian was at his usual arrogant self signing checks. Kris checked his signature, it looks genuine.

What was Christian thinking! What if by chance she hadn't noticed that 'agreement' contract and it had fallen at the wrong hands?? What if it landed on her supervisor for instance?? She was planning on submitting her revised designs to her supervisor first before to him ofcourse. She shuddered.

Well she'll be damned if she'd agree to have this stupid relationship contract with him. It only spelled more trouble. So he really hadn't changed. Had he also offered this kind of agreement with his previous "exes"?? Hell if yes, then that means, he's really totally fucked up. She was ready to tear the paper up when she heard the CEO's office door opened and out came the devil.

She hastily covered the paper with her file and pretended to be busy. She checked the time. Good grief. It's 9:30 pm already?? Where did the time run off to. She suddenly became aware of her quiet surroundings. Surely she's not the only one who rendered overtime today??

"Ms Roberts?? You planning to stay at the office for the night??" Christian's deep voice starled her.

She looked at him. So he had decided to address her as Ms Roberts. Fine by her. It just sounded too civil.

"Ofcourse not Sir. I was just finishing my revised designs." Stressing the fact that he was the one who made her extend her time.

"Good then. Be ready to present the revisions tomorrow at the board. Mr. Bailey will be coming." He said curtly then turned to go.

Her jaw dropped. She refused to cower. Was he really the one who made that "contract"?? The one she was hiding at her computer table?? He really looks like he have nothing better to do with her. Fine by her. She immediately packed her things and prepared to go home. She decided to give it a couple of minutes more before coming out of the office building. She was sure Christian had taken his leave already but she just wanted to make sure. Well she doesn't want to make it look like she wants to hitch a ride home. She can go home by herself thank you very much.

She was about to hail a taxi home when a car stopped by at the lobby and rolled the windows down.

"Ms Roberts, its rather late and I don't want to be rude. I can dropped you off at your apartment," Christian said with all the insolence he could muster.

Kristine debated for a second and went inside the car.

The ride home was quiet. Christian never bothered to engage her in any conversation and she was not about to start one.

When they reached her apartment, Christian made a move to remove his seatbelt to open her car door.

"Don't bother Sir. I can handle it from here."she said getting out as fast as she can. Her move wasn't lost to Christian though.

"Ms Roberts, for the record, I am not in the habit of forcing myself in a woman if she doesn't want me. Usually it's the other way around."

Her eyes turned to slits. What does he meant??

"What you said yesterday really got to me. I'm sorry if I mistook your actions. I couldn't help it youre sending me mixed signals." He added.

Kristine heated up. "I'm sorry??" she said mockingly. "I admit I like kissing you, but kissing and fucking buddies were two polar opposites. I think I'm not that desperate for a male companion at the moment." She said gravely. There she had said what's bothering her.

Christian opened up his mouth but closed it again. "Atleast everything is cleared up between us. See you on the board meeting tomorrow." He said then turned to go.

It was a while before Kristine went inside her apartment.
