It was just a simple text but Kristine's hand shook when she had read it. She had been home hours ago but still cant find the nerve to call him. What will she say?? How will she act?? What will she do?? So God help her, her mind was in jambles and she couldn't think clearly.

Kristine paced back and forth. Debating whether to tell Chris or not. Part of it she knew, he deserves to know but another part of her was scared to be rejected.

She showered and left in a state of dazed. She decided to go the OB Gyne first, a thing that she should have done three months ago. The doctor was a sweet lady in her forties. She attended and advised her to do the ultrasound. When Kris heard and saw her baby on the screen doing well, her heart went out.

Hang in there baby. Your brother Caleb would be delighted to have you.

When she got out, she saw all the other expectant mothers waiting for their turn on their check up. They all looked so happy. Almost all of them have their husband or partner at their side, that she attracted attention just for the reason that she had gotten out of the clinic alone.

She then went to buy some groceries and the things that she had been craving for a while ago. She also bought a handful of the prescribed vitamins and went to loiter at the mall. She really thought hard about her situation and how to deal with it. She decided to tell Christian anyway. It had been her first plan, she owe him the truth about what happened six years ago. She owe that to him even if its her who brought the situation upon herself.

He wouldn't like it, she knows but her intention wasn't to tie him to her anyway. She wasn't going to force him to be bound to her just because they have a child.

It was already dark when she returned back. She plopped on the couch exhausted. Next she checked her cellphone which she didn't bother to bring with her to the mall. Sure enough she got a handful to fill her inbox. But only Chris messages got thru her.

Why did Christian need to call Emmet anyway when he can call her directly at the hospital??

She opened her laptop and took a deep breath. Their scheduled heart to heart talk wasn't going to happen next week when he return back. She was going to tell him now. She had to tell him now or else she'll change her mind later. She couldn't postpone it any longer. She logged on the application and waited for it to connect. It was now or never.
