We were back at Jack's house, now. "Our flight overlays, we make a stop in Nebraska. We'll be there for two days and one night, then we'll be on our way to Hawaii!" Jack tells me excitedly.

"Where will we stay in Nebraska?" I ask curiously as I take the tags off of all my clothes.

"With my parents," he says. I look up, "I never really told you much about me. I'm from Omaha."

"Oh yeah," I crawled up on the bed and sat in front of him. "Tell me some more about you."

"Well, I was born in Nebraska. I made tons of friends out there, we all moved to LA together. The night I met you, I was on my way back from dropping a buddy off at the airport. He was going to Jamaica with a few of his friends."

"So how many people moved out here with you?" I ask. "Where are they now?"

"Just me, Sam, and my friend Jack." He pauses, "Jack is in Omaha right now actually, I was thinking I could introduce you two, and Sam will be back by the time we get there."

"Cool," I smiled.

"Welcome home, Jack!" his mother said with open arms. She peeked around his shoulder and saw me. "Who's this?" she asked.

"This is Alexis, my girlfriend," he smiles widely and puts his arm around me.

"Well," she smiles. "Welcome to the family!" I smile at her. "You two must be starving, airplane food is just horrid." She rushed us into the kitchen. "Honey, look what Jack brought home!" His cheeks were red.

"Oh, she's a cute one, Jack," he chuckled. I smiled nervously and followed Jack to the table. Jack's mom gave us each a plate of dinner.

We ate in almost silence as Jack's mom cleaned. "Let me show you around," he said sitting down his fork. He lead me all around the house, showing me all the rooms and pictures. "We'll be staying right here," he said. He ran and jumped onto his bed. I plopped down next to him.

"Can we take a nap?" I yawned and laid my head on his stomach.

"Just what I was wanting," he closed his eyes and we fell asleep.

I soon woke up to someone jumping on the bed, "ayyyyyye, Gilinsky's got a girl in his bed!" I squinted my eyes and rubbed them. He was staring dead at me. His hair was dirty blond and he was scrawny.

"Ah, you must be Jack," I sat up and stared at him. "I'm Alexis."

"Damn, wait til Sam sees you," he smirks.

"Huh?"

"Nothin," he laughs. I feel Jack move around and he opens his eyes.

"Jack!" he says. He gets up and hugs the other Jack. "Haven't seen you in a long time, bro. This is Alexis, my girl," he winks at me.

"So I see," he raises his eyebrows. "I was thinkin you and me could hit the slopes before it gets too late?"

"Sounds nice, let's go." He begins to leave but he comes back. "Oh- uh. Do you mind?" he asks and gives me a weak smile.

"Go have fun," I laugh. "I'll get to know your mom or something," I smile and kiss his cheek.

He and the other Jack leave, I walk downstairs and sit in the living room with his mom. "So how old are you?" she asks me.

"I'm eighteen," I tell her.

"What do you do? Are you attending a college, do you have a job?" she asks. I shift uncomfortably, I know she's just trying to know me better, I just didn't wanna be a disappointment.

"Um, I uh- I actually dropped out of high school," I twiddled my thumbs nervously.

She almost gasped, but caught herself. "Well, do you have a job?"

"No..." I was getting more nervous by the second. "Um- it's really a long story."

"Oh, oh wait. Jack told me all about that when you fell asleep. I'm so sorry for asking, I didn't-"

"It's okay," I sit on my hands to keep my self from moving them around. Wait. Jack told her? Why would he do that?

To hurt you.

Get out of my head.

"I'm homeeeeee," I heard a familiar voice say. I furrow my eyebrows. A familiar figure walks into the room and my mouth drops.

Sam Wilkinson.
