Tori and I were sitting in the living room, chowing down on something she had prepared earlier in the morning. I couldn’t even look at her the same way after last night. Every time I saw her, the thought of tiny little male and female Tori’s running around the house with flat irons and little play makeup kit things sprung into my mind.
My sore body lay on the couch, halfway dead. That party was surely something…
“Let’s go get Starbucks.” Tori broke the nice peaceful silence we were having breakfast. “I haven’t had a good cup of coffee in the long time.”
“But today is my off day…” I moaned. I was completely exhausted from last night, and the fact that I had to get up, on my two feet, put on some pants, do my hair, and apply makeup just made me nauseous. I couldn’t be bothered to do it yet.
“Fine then, what do you want?” Tori shrugged her shoulders and put her cellphone in her mini purse, clutch thingy.
“An iced coffee would be nice.” I whispered. “But before you go, can you hand me my cellphone?” I hadn’t checked my phone in a while, and I guessed that Josh would’ve probably sent me something by now since they were to be arriving in a few days if not already.
Tori tossed me my phone and grinned. “I’ll be back in a few,” She walked out of the house, only to walk back in a few minutes later with Clarisse and Max. “Adam just dropped them off.” Again, she waved goodbye. My brother and his little girlfriend rushed upstairs clearly tired too.
I flipped my phone open and stared at the screen as many text message updates appeared on the top bar of my notifications. Finally, a couple seconds later my phone stopped buzzing and the fourteen texts from one specific were now neatly piled in my inbox. Being the person I am, I opened the newest one.
“Hey Addie, just wanted to let you know we landed yesterday. Why haven’t you responded to my messages? Are you mad at us?”
I sighed and typed my reply to his message.
‘My cousin threw a party so I didn’t really have time to respond to anything. I didn’t even have my phone with me at all…’
A couple seconds later, my phone vibrates. Josh had responded so fast, it was almost like he was waiting for my reply.
‘Oh, and you didn’t invite us? Rude! Just kidding! Do you want to meet up later today? Rokkit won’t be there though; Mr. Pop Star has to record a song.’
‘Sure, is around two okay at?’
‘Are you available any earlier? What I have to tell you is kind of important.’
‘Sure, I guess. What time then?’
‘Eleven thirty, on the dot. I got to go, Addie. I’ll see you in two hours.’
Josh ended his text with a smile emoticon. It always put me in a good mood whenever someone would place one randomly in their text. It made me feel like they cared.
I tossed my phone onto the coffee table and flipped myself over on the couch so that I was staring at the ceiling.
“Morning Addie.” Claire and Cameron said in unison. They slowly made their way down the stairs and to the coffee table near me. Tori had left them some toast on a plate before she left.
“Where is Tori?” Cameron said with his mouth full of butter and burnt bread.
“She’s getting me some coffee.” I said bluntly.
“Oh really? I didn’t know you liked coffee.” Cameron wagged a waxed eyebrow.
“There’s a lot you don’t know about me.” I picked myself off the coach and smiled. “I’m going to go get dressed; I’m going to go meet up with a friend.”
“Can I go?” Cameron perked up. I didn’t think Josh would’ve liked it if Cameron would’ve gone. Especially if Rokkit decided he wanted to go.
“I don’t think you’d want to go if I told you I was going to meet up with a guy.” He raised an eyebrow and looked at me carefully.
“A guy by the name of Cameron? I hear he’s really handsome!” He chuckled.
“No, an old friend of mine and I are going to go get lunch.” I smiled at him. He looked a little wary, but soon brushed it off.
“Just be careful, it wouldn’t be too pretty seeing you get trampled.”
“I will, like always.” He pulled me down onto his lap and pecked my cheek innocently.
“Ew!” Claire responded. “Do that when I’m not here! I see that enough at work, I don’t need to see that here.” Claire frowned. She was hated when people kissed in public, I disliked it too, but she just plain told them off when whenever she saw it.
“Whatever, I’ll see you guys later.”
After getting dressed and ready, I headed out to meet Josh. My legs were sore to the point where if I could’ve, I would’ve made a bed of the bench in the park I was going through. My strides were long and painful but they got me to the café where Josh was waiting for me.
“Addie!” A voice I hadn’t heard in forever shouted. A small smiled formed on the corner of my lips. I twisted my head back in surprise, only to my dismay to find that it wasn’t Josh who was calling.
“Rokkit? What are you doing here?” I scratched the back of my head in confusion. I wasn’t prepared to see him here, and even if I was, I still wouldn’t want to see him.
“I kind of wanted to talk to you about something really important.” He looked down, almost disappointed. For that moment, I really felt that if he would’ve asked me to get back together, I would’ve said yes.
“What is it?” I asked him. It came out harsher then I meant and he cringed. “Sorry.” I mumbled.
“Well, we are filming a music video for one of my new songs and I was wondering if you want to be my leading lady?”

Short, but it's something.
Ahem, sorry for the late update, but I started school the last day of July so I couldn't write as much as I had thought, so I hope this makes up for it. :) Either way, expect more updates since I'll have a less homework then I did last year (I'm in a different school where the my teachers don't assign a lot of homework.)
