Cyber Love

From now on, the story will be written in the past tense since it’s easier to write like that. I’ll fix the older chapters later.

“So do you drink?” Cameron yelled over the loud music. He had a soft drink in one hand, and a grip on my waist in the other. It did make me uncomfortable that we were so close to each other since I still had somewhat of a relationship with Rokkit.

“Do I drink what?”

“You know, alcohol beverages. Or is little Addie still too young for the heavy drinks?” He teased. A small smirk formed on his lips. It was hard for a girl not to fall for his looks, especially the way he made flirting seem like a game…

“Yes I am still too young. The legal age is twenty-one, and I’m still nineteen.” I outsmarted him. Cameron just rolled his eyes and took a sip of his drink.

“I guess Addie did do her math homework, but she missed one question.”

“And what question would that be?”

“What does you plus me equal?” Cameron placed his Pepsi bottle on the coffee table before taking the liberty of pinning me against the wall. His beefy hands were on either side of me while he body was pressed closely against mine. He wore a white dressy shirt and black jeans, making it seem like he was trying to look casual yet sophisticated at the same time.

“That equation doesn’t have an answer.” I said matter-of-factly.

“Oh really,” A seductive grin replaces his smirk. “Let’s make an answer then.” Cameron leans to quickly press his lips against mine, but they never touch.

“Nice try, Cameron.” Claire appears out of nowhere with her arms crossed over her chest and a disapproving look on her face. “Stop hitting on her, she has a boyfriend if you didn’t no.”

“The majority of my past relationships had boyfriends, that didn’t stop them.”

Boyfriend? I wasn’t sure of what we were anymore. Boyfriend and girlfriend? No because we never got that close. Friends? I think I ruined that. Acquaintances?  I don’t even think he wants anything to do with me anymore.

“Claire, it is fine.” I forced a smile on my face. “I don’t think Rokkit and I are anything anymore. Cameron was just flirting with me anyways; nothing is or ever will happen.” I reassured Claire. She gave me an iffy look, but bought it.

“Just watch it, Cameron. If you hurt her, I swear I’ll come after you.” She glared before strutting away.

Cameron turned back to me with a dirty smile on his face. “So where were we?” He flashed his white teeth at me before pressing his lips softly against mine. I pulled away after a few seconds to look at him. His hazel green eyes stared at me with playful glint.

“So…” He started. His hands found their way back down to my waist, pulling me closer to him so that our lips were just a few centimeters apart. “I hear you’re single.” He smirks and places another soft kiss on my lips.

“Where’d you hear that?” I played along.

“A little bird told me.” He winked.  “So is it true?”

“Mhmm, why do you ask?” I wrapped my arms around his neck so that he bent down to my height. That was another thing with this family, they were all tall.

“Just because I wanted to tell sat, you’re not single anymore.”

“Player…” I smirk.

“Let’s go outside.” I take his hand and led him outside to their backyard.

A few other couples were out there too, but they were just making out or chatting away. I hadn’t seen Claire in a while, or Tori for that matter too. I knew Tori was probably in her room with the door locked doing the dirty with her boyfriend, but Claire didn’t know the majority of the people here.

“Addie, can I take you out on the third? You know, for your birthday?” Cameron shrugged his shoulders. A small smile was on his face.

“Sure, where though?” I asked him. I decided I wouldn’t want to be home when Rokkit, Josh, Mason and Lance returned, so I guess I did need an excuse to be out.

“It’s a surprise, Doll.” I cringed at the name. Rokkit had called me that the last couple of times he had come. It felt foreign having it come out of Cameron’s lips.

The party continued, and I still didn’t know where Claire was. Cameron and I continued talking about menial things to pass the time. At about midnight, everyone went their own way.

“Tori, you have to clean this up.” I said trudging up the stairs with a couple black trash bags in tow. “Tori!” I shouted again when she didn’t respond. “Oh my God!” I yelled as I opened the door to her bedroom. “Get your clothes on!”

“Addie, are you okay?” Cameron came up to me. He had a trash bag filled to the brim with empty soda cans and paper plates. I didn’t even want to know what else was in there.

“You’re sister is in there half naked with some guy!” I responded, rubbing my eyes with the sleeves of my sweater.

Cameron chuckled and closed the door with the fats asleep Tori inside. “I won’t be surprised if I get a nephew next year.” We laughed alone together.

“I’m going to sleep on the couch, wake me up on the third…” I yawned.
