Olivia's P.O.V.

"BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!" The alarm clock sang at the top of its lungs.

"Oh my god. Shut up." I groaned as I reached my arm over the bed to the table to hit the 'Snooze' button. But instead, my fingertips slid the alarm clock off the table.

"Great..." I muttered under my breath.

"Liv! Time to get up!" Dad yelled from the outside of my bedroom door.

"I'm up dad!" I rolled my eyes. I think my alarm clock does the job pretty well. Don't really need the additional help from you, dad.

I clicked the 'Off' button on my alarm clock which was repeatedly beeping from the side of my bed once I got up. I then put on the clothes I had laid out from last night; A fitted sky blue top with a floral design, paired with white jean shorts. Then I went to the bathroom to brush the small tangles out of my thick, shoulder-length, wavy, dark brown hair. I glanced at my ugly bangs, wishing I didn't have them. I hated them. I then threw on some 'Great Lashes' (although it's not very dark or defining) mascara, to make my blue-grey eyes pop just a little. After preparing myself, I ate 2 buttermilk pancakes that my dad had wonderfully prepared with just butter on top because I hated syrup, and a half glass of orange juice.

"Socks!" I remembered. The last time I wore my cute converse shoes without socks, I got unforgettably painful blisters all over my heels.

I looked in my underwear drawer for short simple socks to wear with my shoes. No socks. You've got to be kidding me. My dad probably forgot to wash all the socks I've used for the past 2 weeks. Great. Just great.

After a few minutes of digging through underwear, I found a pair at the very bottom. Knee-high brownish-tan socks with little kittens popping out on every inch of them. The least I needed was the reputation of a freakish fashion fail on my first day of my sophomore year. At a new school. In a new state.

I tried to roll them all the way down, but there was so much sock they looked ridiculous. So I rolled them down only half way. "Who would look by your feet anyways, Olivia? I mean, they're just socks for crying out loud!" I told myself. But I wasn't too convincing. Little did I know, that was the least of my worries at Lincoln High School. And I'm not talking girl problems or boy drama.
