Olivia's P.O.V.

I followed Brad in my car to the coffee shop, which was only about a two minute drive.

I had to get this over with. I came here for a reason; to find the truth about Liliana, or maybe even find her.

I hopped out of the car and walked up to Brad.

"Is this stuff any good?" I said hoping it was. I'm not a big coffee drinker.

"Best in town." He replied.

"Isn't this the only place in town...?" I murmured.

"Probably." He laughed.

We walked in to an aroma of coffee. I actually liked the smell of it. It was comforting, and reminded me of how my mother used to brew coffee in the morning.

My mother who is no longer with me.

"Are you okay?" Brad asked as I realized my eyes were watering.

I wiped my eyes. "Uhh, yeah, just my allergies acting up again."

"That's everyone's excuse."

"Huh?"

"Now tell me, what's wrong?" He asked sincerely.

There was no point in fighting it. "The smell of coffee reminds me of the smell of my old house when my mother used to make coffee in the mornings. But, my mother is...--" Brad cut me off.

"I know. Did you want to go some place else?" Brad offered.

"I'm good. I can handle it." I half-smiled.

I ordered a caramel frappucino, and Brad ordered some kind of mocha.

"You know, my parents are gone. Both of them." He said as we sat down in a booth. "I was only four when they died. You're lucky you still have a parent."

"I'm sorry." I frowned.

"It's okay."

"So what brings you here at the Violet Inn?" I asked.

"It all started at the orphanage. I made a best friend there. We stuck together through thick and thin. We prayed to god every time someone wanted to adopt, they would take us both. We couldn't bare to be separated, but one day we were. My best friend was adopted by a middle-aged couple with a woman who couldn't give birth. I was adopted by a middle-aged couple who just wanted to adopt. I lived with them for 12 years. They were abusive, and physically beat me. I tried to tell people, but my foster parents paid me to keep quiet. By the time I could drive, I left. I have been going from hotel to hotel, all across the US. So, here I am." He shrugged.

"Oh my gosh. I'm so sorry." That's all I could say.

"How about you?"

"What do you mean?"

"What brings you here?"

"Oh, uhh, I'm just looking for work. I thought maybe my friend was still staying Violet Inn, but the woman at the front desk wouldn't tell me. So therefore I needed to look on the computer. And I couldn't get a hold of her because... she lost her phone. Turns out she wasn't staying there anyways." I lied. I had known Brad for a couple of hours, and that wasn't long enough for me to know if I could trust him. He was just distracting me from what I was really here for.

"Ahh, I see." He smiled. "Need a place to stay for the night?"

"I can't share a place with you, sorry." I stated.

"Well, if you change your mind, here's my room number." He said, handing me a folded piece of paper. "Well, I'm going to get going. Maybe I'll see you around." He winked and left.

I opened up the paper, which read 149. To my amazement, it was the same room number Liliana stayed at when she was at Violet Inn. I remember I could barely make out the number on the computer when I heard Laura coming. Maybe if I stayed at his place, I could find something. Something to do with Liliana.

Hey guys! Thanks for all the votes. :) I want to thank you so much for reading this book. I've worked so hard on it. 63 votes and I'll make a new chapter.

By the way guys, I've been reading a few fanfics lately, and I thought I might write one. Go check it out! It's called 'When Hate Meets Love' and its about Selena Gomez. :) I just started, so I will be adding more chapters.

Also, I'm really into this book by 'ToxicBurrito' (lol) called 'The Plague.' It's seems different than most books I read on WattPad, and even though it's not that long yet, I am excited to see what's to come. It's not very popular yet, so if you want to check it out, look at who I'm following and click on 'ToxicBurrito' and read his book!

Don't forget to...
