Olivia's P.O.V.

"Thanks for everything!" I said and kissed Tanner on the cheek as he blushed. Then I hopped out of the car.

I was eager to see what was important. By the tone of his voice in the phone call, I knew it was bad.

"Olivia, I think you should see this." Yup, it's bad. He only calls me Olivia in bad situations.

"Did I do anything bad?" I wondered.

"No." He as he turned on the TV.

"15 year old Liliana Brickshaw pronounced missing." The newscast on TV reported. "Mrs. Marlene Brickshaw said she last saw her daughter on May 17." Which was 5 days ago. Dad turned the television off.

"Oh my god." I said. I was speechless. I felt like I was going to throw up.

"I'm so sorry Liv." Dad said sympathetically. "I'm sure they'll find her."

"Yeah." That was all I managed to say.

"Do you want some tea? Or ice cream?" He offered.

"No thanks." I said as I walked upstairs to my room.

I lay in my bed with my eyes wide open. I couldn't help but think, where was she? Was she okay? And why do I care about her so much? Did someone have something to do with this

Last night was horrible; I tossed and turned every minute and by the time it was time for school, I was dead tired.

Evan's P.O.V.

She had bags under her eyes and nearly dragged herself to every class.

"Olivia." I poked her shoulder.

"What do you want?" She asked, obviously still angry at me.

"I'm sorry for... Umm... Your loss..."

She didn't respond.

"And the way I acted." I admitted.

"It's fine." She muttered, but it didn't seem very forgiving.

"I'm serious. I was acting like a total jerk. I shouldn't try to talk you out of going out on your first date." I explained.

"I just don't understand why you would do that." She wondered.

"It's just... Nothing." I couldn't tell her I liked her, but there was something else I was hiding that I needed to let her know of.

"Really? It didn't seem like nothing." She rolled her eyes.

"Look, I just don't trust Tanner." I was about to spill the secret.

"Why don't you trust Tanner?! God Evan, I really don't understand you."

Olivia said angrily.

"I... I saw him sneaking around with Liliana." My secret was out.

"Okay. Stop. You don't have to lie to me to make yourself sound legit." Olivia stated.

"It's true! I may have been a jerk, but have I ever lied to you?"

She opened her mouth about to say something, but she paused. "Where did you see them?"

"Even everyone was in class, I had to leave to a doctor's appointment, so I was walking down the hall. Then I heard her talking about how she made a new friend, AKA: you, and I stopped walking to hear what they were saying. Then I peered through the hallway, and they went into the Janitor's closet. Who knows what they were doing."

Her jaw dropped as the bell for class rang.

"Gotta run." I said avoiding more questions. Then I left.
