Olivia's P.O.V.

It had been almost 3 weeks since Liliana disappeared. All I could think about was the wedding picture. Of MY parents. Why on Earth would she have that?

"Hey dad." I said as I walked downstairs holding the photo. Maybe I should tell him.

"Hey, Liv." Dad replied.

"So, dad..." I started to have second thoughts.

"Yeah?"

"Umm, I think we ran out of tissue. My allergies are starting to kick in." I made up an excuse and his the picture behind my back.

He gave me a confused look. "Liv, there's a box of tissue right in front of you on the counter."

"Oh, umm, I think I need glasses." I said as I scurried out of the room.

I was walking in the hallway to my room when I dropped the photo of the picture of my mom and dad.

"Crap..." I muttered. Little pieces of glass were laying on the wooden floor. I picked them up, and one of them cut into my thumb which started to bleed. I threw them away, and then I examined the picture. I took the frame off, and a note slipped out.

"1309-523-7779" The note said. It was a phone number. I thought about calling it, but I wasn't sure. What would I say? My friend Liliana had this number written down on a small piece of paper placed behind my parents wedding picture in a picture frame. Yeah, I think not.

Evan's P.O.V.

"The end of school dance is in 3 days." Annalise informed me. "If you want to take Olivia, ask her tomorrow!"

"I don't want to..." I answered.

"Okay, then sit there and watch her dance with another guy. Maybe Tanner."

I didn't know what to say.

"Come on Evan! You guys are never going to be a "thing" if you're too scared to confess your attraction for her!" Annalise said.

"Why are you always right?" I answered. She was right, I was too afraid.

"I know things, Evan." She laughed.

"Fine, I'll ask her tomorrow. But you have to be next to me. And you have to help me out."

"Deal." Annalise grinned.

Olivia's P.O.V.

It was another day of school. Boring old school. But not so boring today.

"Hey, Liv." Evan said with Annalise by her side.

"Hey you!" I smiled.

"Listen, Liv, I was wondering if... Maybe you would want to be my... Uhhh... Date to the end of the year dance?" He said, shaking.

I was so caught up with Liliana's disappearance, I totally forgot about the dance. At least Tanner didn't ask me.

"Sure." I responded.

"Great!" Evan said and walked away.

I was excited for the dance, but I didn't realize that something important would come up.
