Olivia's P.O.V.

"Okay, everyone choose their partners." Mrs. Houston said. I headed to Liliana when suddenly Annalise came up to me.

"Hey Olivia! Wanna be partners?" She said excitedly. It's going to suck to reject her offer.

"Umm... Well actually--"

"She's being partners with me." Liliana bud in.

"Sorry Annalise. Maybe next time." I apologized.

"It's okay. It's not a big deal anyways." She smiled but then it quickly faded as she walked away.

"So Liv, what's your address and what time should I be at your house?" Liliana asked impatiently.

"Be at my house by 6:15. And I'll write it down on a slip of paper for you." I opened up my notebook and ripped a little piece of paper from the corner and wrote down: 1077, Parkington Dr.

"Here you go." I said as I handed the paper to Liliana.

"Thanks girl!" Liliana smiled.

It sounds weird, but I was really excited to study with my new friend tonight! She was the coolest girl in school. And she was coming to my house!

Liliana's P.O.V.

I was excited to go to Olivia's house tonight. It was going to be nice to get out of the house tonight. And then I can get my mind off of what distracting me most; him. Parkington Dr. happened to be only a couple of blocks away from where I lived, so I just threw on a cute denim jacket and walked there. Their house was a ranch house, it was a light brown color with a dark brown roof and a white garage door with brick around the entrance door. Bushes were aligned up along the walkway to the entrance.

"Ding-dong!" The doorbell sang once I pressed it. Then the door flew open. It was Liv.

"Hey Liliana!" Liv said excited to see me. "Come on in."

We went up a tiny flight of stairs (since it was a ranch house) to her bedroom. There were olive green walls with a small bed in the corner with a design with pink, green, and blue flowers. Her room was very neat and organized. We sat on her bed and she got out the textbook and we got out both of our notebooks.

"Okay, so, have you memorized all of Earth's layers?" She asked.

"Umm... Not really..." I said a bit embarrassed.

"Do you know what all of them are made of and what the density is? Or the temperature?"

"Well, I know the crust is made out of rock, and the inner core is the most dense." I stated the obvious.

"Well, uhh, that's a good start." Olivia lied.

I wanted to switch the subject. "Who's that?" I asked pointing to a picture of a woman on her wall.

"That's my mother... She died when I was 6." She explained skeptically.

"I'm so sorry Liv." I hugged her. "So is this your first time moving to a new school?" I wondered.

"No. Actually this is my 6th... My dad travels a lot with his job. I don't think I'll be here for too long either." She said.

"Oh, so your not new to being new. I really hope you stay here longer."

"Me too." Olivia smiled. "Anyways, let's start our Earth model. I bought some of the materials." I knew Olivia wanted to get on with it.

"Buzz. Buzz. Buzz." My phone started to vibrate. "Hold on one sec, Liv. I got a text." I turned around and looked my phone. The text read "meet me @ the usual spot." It was from him. I took a deep breath and did what I had to do. I replied, "I can't do this anymore. It's affecting my grades and relationships with others. Bye. Don't talk 2 me again."

"Everything alright?"

"Yup, just fine."
