Olivia's P.O.V.

"Hey dad! I'm home from school!" I shouted.

"Hey Liv. I have some good news!" Dad said.

"What is it?!" I was eager to find out.

"I got a job promotion! Now my job doesn't involve traveling around. Make yourself at home, because we will be living here a while!" He said proudly.

I was so excited. My first REAL home. Now I could tell Liliana that I'm here for good.

Annalise's P.O.V.

All I am to Olivia is nice. Yet she ignores me in the hallways, and blows me off for her new BFF Liliana. Everyone acts like she's some sort of goddess, and I'm the itsy bitsy redhead leprechaun thing. I helped her find her way to her classes and I showed her around and even introduced her to a couple of people. I don't want to judge Liliana, but she's the trouble magnet, and Olivia's going to be sucked in. How could I warn her without making it seem like I'm insulting her friend choices?

Olivia's P.O.V.

As months passed by, Liliana and I grew closer. We liked to go to the mall, we had a special spot at "Orange Leaf" (the fro-yo shop) where we always studied and gossiped. We had loads of fun, but something seemed a bit weird. For example, whenever we wanted to hang, she never invited me over to her place. She told me her room is too messy and her parents don't want 2 teenage girls goofing around in the house. I bought it at first, but as time passed, it started to seem more like an excuse. Questions started popping up in my head. Is it normal parents never want to see their children's friends? Why would Liliana be so self-conscious about a messy room? And those were only a few out of hundreds of questions I had. One day I realized, she knew everything about me, but I knew absolutely NOTHING about her besides her name. I never had a best friend before, but I knew best friends didn't hide their entire life from each other. Now that, was definitely not normal.

"Hey girly!" Liliana said when she sat next to me at the lunch table.

"Listen, we need to talk." It was true.

"Is there something wrong?" She worried.

"No. I mean, yes, actually, there is." I didn't want to confront her because I was afraid she wouldn't want to be my friend anymore. But I can't worry about that.

"What is it, Liv?" She asked.

"Look, Liliana, you are super sweet. But, how come we've been friends for almost an entire year, and you have never told me one thing about you? I've never been to your house. Ever. I tell you everything. It's hard for me to open up to people about my mother. But I did with you. I feel like you're hiding so many things from me! Best friends don't do that, Liliana!"

"Wow, never knew how rude you could be. Maybe you should try to get to know me instead of going on about your life." Ouch.

"Excuse me? You ask! It's called trying to make conversation! I've been spilling all of my secrets to you and you've never told me one thing about you. Ever! I wasn't going on about my life, I was trusting you with my secrets."

"Look, Liv, there's a lot you probably never want to here, so lets keep it that way." She sighed.

"Well I obviously do, if you haven't noticed. I don't want to waste my time on a friendship that isn't real!" I stated and left. I may have just lost a friend, but I couldn't keep going through a friendship that's just a big fat lie.
