Chapter 9

The gang walked a couple of miles into the woods and found a good place to settle down for the night, out of sight of the bounty hunters and a wonderful view of the stars. "Okay. I got the wood" Ruby said "And I found some food" Ezra said walking up behind her. "Good, me and Kanan cleared out the area" Shadow said cleaning her hands in a little puddle her made. "Ruby, put the wood here and I'll make the fire" Kanan said putting together his lightsaber. Ruby droped the wood and Kanan turned on his saber.

They sat near the fire, eating the fish and berries Ezra found. They sat in silence until Ezra looked at Ruby with a smile and she returned the it. "You thinking what I'm thinking baby" Ezra thought "Oh yeaaaaa" "What are you two doing?". They turned to see Shadow staring at them. Kanan on the other hand, had no idea what was going on and continued to eat his berries. Ezra just smiled and took a breath.

"Wow" Kanan said "I didn't know you two could sing" "There's lots of things you don't know about us" Ruby said. Shadow shook her head and smiled. "What, you think you could do better" Ezra challenged. Shadow turned her head slowly towards Ezra and smiled.

Kanan stared that Shadow with shock. Ezra and Ruby smiled while nodding. "Okay okay. That wasn't bad" Ezra said raising his hands in surrender. "Not bad. Kid I did better than you" "What no! We were better!" Ruby said. They all look at Kanan and together they say said "Who was better!". Kanan took a deep breath and spoke. "Well, I think.....both of the songs were great. I honestly didn't know any of you could sing". The three nodded in agreement. "Yea. What about you Kanan?" Ezra asked "What?" "Can you sing?"
