Ezra's Life Continues

Chapter 10

Alright I know it's a bit short but I wanted to give y'all something for waiting to long to update...... Enjoy

"Nope sorry, I don't sing" Kanan said putting more wood in the fire. "Okay.... But for real, who was better?" Ezra asked "Hmm hard to say" "How about this" Shadow said "We call this a tie" "Fine with me" Ruby said yawning. "Time for bed" Kanan said laying down "Night guys" "Night" They all said. Ruby and Ezra got closer as Kanan and Shadow tried to get comfortable on the hard forest floor.

Kanan sat awake, staring at the night sky. He signed and turned his head to see Ezra and Ruby sleeping in each others arms and Shadow sleeping peaceful against a rock. He quietly got up and walked to a small lake they found nearby. Kanan got on his knees and put his hands in the water, gathering up some up and bring it to his lips. As he did this he hear a noise and shot up with his gun in hand. "Who's there" Kanan asked. He jumped a little when a loth-cat came out, blinked and ran off "Stupid cats" he mumbled as he put his gun back. Than out of nowhere a loth-cat came and jumped him. "Ahh! What the..!" The cat growled and brought out it claws "Hey....hey.." Kanan said trying to connect with it through the force and it worked. "Run along now" and the cat left. Kanan said nothing and quickly walked back to camp and tried to go go to sleep but was terrified about the loth-cat coming back.

The next morning everyone was up and eating breakfast. "So what now" Ruby said putting a berry in her mouth "We'll keep walking until We can get in rang of the ghost" Kanan said standing "And we should get going so put the fire out and lets go". The gang cleaned up and started walking.
It was a long walk, with rocks and rivers but they pushed on until Kanan's comlink started beeping. "Spec.....ne. Can you.... me? Come....Spector.." "Yes yes! Hera I hear you!" Kanan said "Where....you?" "Hera your breaking up! Hera! Argh we're to far" "Can't you use the force to find them?" Shadow asked "I can try". Kanan closed his eyes and focused with all his might, blocking everything out.

"Shadow" Ezra said looking around "Yea Ezra, I sense them to" "Bounty hunters" Ruby said with a growl. "Spector 1, we need to go" "Hold on Ruby" "Spector 1 we.." Shadow was cut off "I know about them, just 2 mins" Kanan said. Kanan spread out farther with the force and found the ghost. "KANAN!" Ezra yelled while pushing Kanan to the ground as a blaster shot went off. "Found them" Kanan said quickly "Come on". They ran and ran dodging blaster shots and yelling. "You can't run forever!" Cad said. The group ran out of the forest and saw the ghost sitting there. "There it is! The ghost" Ezra said happily and a blaster shot came put of nowhere just inches from his head "Time to go" He said. "Hera! Open the ramp and get ready to leave. We have company!" Kanan yelled into his comlink. As they ran the ghost's ramped opened and Zeb could be seen. "Come on!" Zeb yelled as he fired his bo-rifle at the bounty hunters. Ezra and Ruby jumped aboard as the ship left the ground and was quickly followed by Shadow and Kanan. Once they were on, Hera flew the ghost into space and into hyperspace.
The four sat on the floor breathing hard from the running. "You mates alright?" Zeb asked as Hera and Sabine came down the ladder. "We're fine. Thanks" Shadow said getting up. "Ah Shadow, lovely to see you again" Hera said with a smile and quickly turned to Kanan with a glare. "Kanan Jarrus, a word" and with that she walked into the cockpit. "Zeb Sabine why don't you get Ezra, Ruby and Shadow a quick look over" "Alright" Sabine said walking over to medical kit that Hera had everywhere. "Oh come on Kanan, we'll.." Ezra shut up when he looked at Kanan's face that read 'Don't start' "Fine" Ezra said in defeat. Kanan walked away as the others went into the kitchen.
