Chapter 17

"Good luck my pups" Ezra opened his eyes to see the blue and white lights of hyperspace. "S~o what do we do when we get there?" Ezra asked "Well once we drop out of hyperspace, we'll have to scan for incoming ships, drop down, get the supplies and leave. Hopefully we don't run into any trouble" Kanan said getting the scanner ready. Ezra and Ruby looked at each other as they dropped out of hyperspace. "No ships" Kanan said while flying the phantom into the atmosphere. "Well that's good" Ezra said. Within a minute they flew into a huge blizzard. "Strap down!" Kanan yelled. Ezra and Ruby sat down and strapped themselves in. The wind and snow pounded against the phantom and blinded them as Kanan tried to control it. "You had to say something Ezra!" "It's not my fault Ruby! It's not like I plan for these things!" "Quite you two!" Kanan snapped. Ruby and Ezra growled at each other and Kanan asked "What was that?!" "Nothing!" they both yelled "The wind!" Ezra said "And the snow!" Ruby added quickly. Kanan was flying blind in the storm and had no idea where he was going. Just as he was about to use the force, they flew out of the storm and lights began to flash. "Kid, what's going on?!" "The engine's down!" "What!" Ruby scream. More lights and sounds began to flash. "The ship is completely frozen!" Kanan said "Lock yourselves down". Ezra and Ruby did as they were told and watched Kanan somehow avoid hills and trees. "Ezra, if something happens, just know that..... I evol uoy" Ruby whispered. "I wonk, I evol uoy oot". Seconds later Kanan yells "Brace for impact!" and was welcome into darkness.

Shadow paced in the living room as Hera walked in. "Are you all right dear?" "What...oh yea I'm fine" Shadow said while still pacing "Why'd you ask?" "Because you might make a hole in my ship". Shadow looked down and could see where she had been walking. "Hehe sorry. I guess I'm a bit nervous" "That's fine" Hera said while sitting down, inventing Shadow to sit as well. "You want to talk about it?" Hera asked "No, not really...... Well......okay. I guess I'm just worried" "Why?" "Hera. That's the hoth system, the coldest system. What if something goes wrong? What if the got caught in a storm or something (gasps slightly) or worse!" "What's worse?" "You don't want to know" Shadow said looking away. Hera waited for a moment before saying "Everythings probably fine sweetheart. Why don't you go and rest. You look like you need it". Shadow looked at her and nodded. "Okay. Maybe for a few minutes" "Good. I'll call you if somethings comes up" "Thank you Hera" Shadow said and walked out towards her room. Hera sat in the living room and signed. She got up and made her way to the cockpit to find Chopper. "Hey Chopper, let me know if anything and I mean anything happens. I'm gonna lay down for a bit" "Beep boop" (Alright) "Thanks bud". Hera walked put and walked towards her room, which was in front of Sabine's. She could hear spray paint and Sabine's comments. Hera shook her head and smiled. "That girl can go on for hours painting" she thought and went into her room. She looked around and say "Maybe I should have Sabine paint my room.....no I'm good". Hera took off her gear and layed on her bed. She sat there before whispering "Please come home safe" and closed her eye to get some sleep.
