Sweetheart

Her cheeks were candy pink
Blushing, happy, cold
Her lips were cherry lollipops
Bitten in fear of growing old

Her eyes were chocolate
Warm and sparkling
Her hair was caramel
Drifting, glistening

She was a sweetheart
Mouthwatering and full of charm
I was a sour tart
I let her come to harm

Now that once beautiful
Girl I knew and loved
Is sweet and sour
I've devoured
Everything left of her love
